Zombie Plans-Revised

While I love that power plant and hope to be able to get there when the apocalypse hits, we have to think more realistic, only the Americans (And perhaps Canadians) of the team will be able to reach it. Those of us in the UK will have to find another place to meet until we can find a way to reach the plant, same for the Australians and such.

Is there any way I can have one of those avatars made? Or is there some sort of requirement, I haven't read the entire thread so I don't know :?

 

Also, for the large blimp picking up everyone part of the TZDF, if you're stopping by Washington, the state, any time soon after the outbreak occurs, I'll be on top of the Space Needle 10 days after they report the outbreak on CNN. I'll break off the needle part of the Space Needle, so the blimp doesn't pop lol.

Hopefully in less than a year I'll be a part of the police force, which will give me access to a new arson of weaponry. Therefore my first stop if a zombie outbreak occurs is to head for the nearest police station to stock up on goodies.

 

 

 

Then who knows, local supermarket to pick up canned goods, alcohol, medication etc. then off to a very high building which I will lock myself in (floor by floor to ensure greater security). Then we'll take things as they happen.. :shock:

You can bring anything (I mean anything, as long as it is commercialy avaible, or otherwise a gun.) along with you. However, you cannot carry anything more then 10 pounds in your arms for any length of time, and no more then 75 pounds on your back. What do you bring?

 

Note: You DO NOT have access to any form of transportation other then walking.

 

 

 

Tricky question, even though a much better plan would be to head for the nearby TZDFHQ.

 

I would probably have in my hand a pistol/revolver, and be carrying water in the other hand. On my back, I would have two swords and a rifle (Assault rifle if I could find one), along with food, water, and ammo. I might also bring basic surgical supplies (Knife, isopropynol, thread, suture, etc...), and high-alcohol beverages--good for surgery (anesthetic) and as fire starters.

 

 

 

Bonus question:

 

 

 

What is a voodoo zombie?

 

 

 

A voodoo zombi(e) is someone who has been fed a certain mixture of semitoxic things, which induces a deathlike coma. They are then buried and later unearthed by the voodoo priest who fed them the mixture, with litle brain function, and are usually used as slaves.

Ah, good. I probably won't be able to bring too many supplies, but I have some medical knowledge, and I can at least get to the power plant within a day or two of the announcement of the zombie outbreak, so if nothing else, I can help begin fortifying the HQ.

Zombie Riot Shields

 

 

 

 

Let me explain this.

 

 

 

On the side labeled "Front" the four parallel long lines are thin metal or wooden rods. These are to keep zombies from reaching around the shield and clawing you. The circle is a hole at approx. head level. This would allow you to quickly dispose of zombies that were charging you. The longer line on the inside of the shape is a strap, and the smaller one is a handle. This allows you to hold the shield with your left hand and still put decent force into it with your left forearm.

 

 

 

On the side labeled "Back" everything is the same except for the little squares, which are long, sharp [bleep]es. These allow you to thrust the shield at a zombie, trapping it, and then stabbing it through the hole at the top with a spear or shooting it to kill it.

 

 

 

The shields would be made of either plywood or a light metal.

 

 

 

Thoughts?

 

 

 

 

 

They seem great, except if they were made of plywood they would wear out fairly fast. I would suggest a light metal (like you said) or fiberglass, like normal riot shields are made of, as they are fairly resilient.

When the day of Zombies comes upon us, who here is taking charge in their local town by saying "I am part of the Tip.It Zombie Defence Force!"?

 

 

 

Hopefully, nobody. Unless you have a tiny town (under 100) it's hopeless. Too many people to controll. If one child goes missing, we have to stop moving and search for it, adults who want to bring their weak, sometimes disabled parents with them, slowing us down, arguments... Nevermind we wouldn't have the resources to control thousands. We MUST travel in a group that we can feed and that we can control.

 

I'd probably take charge of my neighborhood, there's only 50 or so people. We would all set up in this really rich guys 4 story mansion. Plus, the resources from 15/16 households would far outweigh the problems. Most of them wouldn't last too long anyway.

 

 

 

 

 

Eh... It's risky to stay in a neighbor hood. You want to get miles from even traces of civilization.

 

Thats why we have a giant power plant complex thats a little way away from a town.

 

Far enough to hold it easily, but close enough that we can raid supplies and bring them back.

 

what type of defences does that power plant have/will have?

 

pits? high walls? [bleep]e traps? barbed wire? a combination thereof? and most importantly, does it have a clear view of all the surrounding landscape? you dont want zombies being hidden by trees and overwhelming us because we didnt see them coming

I mean, Zombies will be around for a while after they take their place.. So isnt there a high chance they will evolve quickly.. Into more agile, speedier and more deadly Zombies?

Protoguy is the/a team ninja, and ninjas can defeat other ninjas, so I think we're fairly safe, especially since zombies are unarmed. Besides, it's not too likely that the zombies themselves would evolve, and zombies' limitations are caused (I think) by the virus' control over the brain, which could have some unchangeable limit.
