Those are vampires. I don't care if they get called zombies. I guess you could make an argument for zompires.

How about more planning on a long term, since there's only so many times we need to repeat the same thing over and over again.

They are not vampires!

Yeah light hurts them, but only hurts not injure/damage, also vampires don't lose their hair, spread by airborne(most comonly imune) viruses as well as direct with some people being imune, vampires are milky-white not just pale, "cure" don't care about crusificses, wooden stakes and they are visible in mirrors, they don't comunicate verbally, they're not inteligent, they can be any animal.

They've only got two things in common, they hate(as the killing is only for vampires) uv-containing light, and they get physically fitter.

Bassicly all zombies are mutants as all unnatural changes to the body(except surgery) are mutations, even cancer, or at a mouch smaller scale, warts.

Don't forget that the vampires/mutants/zombies in i am legend are intelligent, and it's possible to be immune to the disease.

They are not inteligent, they just know how to crawl and punch. And if you are imune they'll try to kill you instead.

Yeah, they're intelligent. They're vampires. Read the book. Or, barring that, watch the real ending of the movie that doesn't ignore all the hints towards it in the rest of the movie.

Ok so my uncles(now dead) dog was inteligent because it managed to give me an uppercut?

Try first finding out how mouch they have in common with vampires then zombies, not hard to do the final math there.

WTF is that "real" ending you're talking about?

Yeah but in the movie they are just more familiar with their bodily functions than normal zombies.

Try reading the book. The real storyline is that the vampires, which were the people not killed by the disease but not immune had their own fully functioning culture, but the main character (let's call him will smith), thinks they're just violent monsters, so he kidnaps and experiments on them, killing dozens. To them, he is the real monster, and is told in stories, thus "I am Legend". The vampires are slowly adapting to be able to be in sunlight for some time, and are trying to rebuild culture and society.

And get the movie on dvd, and watch the original ending, which is more true to the book. Apparently test audiences didn't like it as much so they filmed the ending for the released version, and put that out instead.

Well in the book there clever and sentient.

Well, in the movie, they ambushed him, they set a trap for him (with the infected in clothes outside the movie store) they controlled dogs (With leashes), and came to rescue one of their own.

He trapped himself with a manekin and wire(as he was going mad), the two dogs came alone and the zombies folowed the boy and girl when they rescued him after his killing spree.

No, the two dogs were on leashes, the mannequin was one of the vampires (Or atleast was put there by one of them) and they came back to rescue the vampire that he had in his house, which was the wife of the leader infected (The one that roars).

So tuching the menequin just happened to trigger one of his own traps?

The trap was his, the dogs had to wait until the sun got all the way behind the buildings and the zombies were atacking his house every night, only the kids forgot to baricade the windows.

You saw that same mannequin in the store the day before. And the trap was set up by the vampires. The vampires didn't attack his house every night. That's why when they actually attacked, he set off all the explosives. They came in through the roof anyway, not the windows. Are you done yet?

The mannequin was put to trigger one of his snares pulled by a falling car(like he did to capture the woman), the "cures" atacked avery night at twilight but not on a full scale, they came in through the attic windows and dug down from there.

Yeah, the mannequin was put their by the vampires. The trap might have already been there, but it was set for him. Also, the vampires didn't know where he lives, until they followed them back, judging by how he responded.

They attacked every house at night until that one night when they could follow the kids to find out which was his.

I think the idea is that the learned FROM him. It's like in Land of the Dead. They've in a way, almost come full circle. The mannequin was put there to draw him out, and they learned how to set those traps from expereience with him. They all know who he is and are afraid of him, which suggests they have formed some kind of community. It's a really interesting story, where to them, Smith is the monster.

Edit: Why do you keep calling the characters "the kids"? What are you talking about hear? The book? The Last Man on Earth? Omega Man? The Newer movie?

I guess it kinda makes sense if you're talking about Omega Man.
