Zombie Plans-Revised

Featured Replies

Before we start a debate about love, let's talk about zombies. Then, later in the post, we can argue about love, lust, or infatuation.

Now, onto the topic of melee weapons. The trench spike is easily one of the best zombie killers, due to its orginal uses. A crowbar would be good too, due to it's practicaly indestructable and could smash a skull. If you can get your hands on a Katana, bring one, and practice on the way.

No, don't bring a katana at all. It's easily the most innacessible weapon out there, in terms of availability and skill level.

If you've been training with one for the past 5-10 years, then yeah, bring it along. Otherwise, don't.

Skill level - Pfft, skill level is when your fighting against another sword, this is a zombie and they can't parry your attacks, swinging a katana is as easy as swinging a sword.

Best case scenario - you steal a frieght containing tons of food and oil.

Skill is being to use it. And, clearly you've never used a sword, if you use the word easy.

And, ross, if you can get your hands on one. They're fairly small and won't weigh you down, and you can simply ditch it if it does. Bringing one can't hurt, and could even help you occupy time training.

well. i agree with hex for once. you dont need no GOD DSAMn skill, or to be effeciant to kill zombies. ereffeciancy is measuredby the time you take to kill something. its a good thing to have but not neccecary. i do agree that the hamemr would work well, and i dont really require a crowbar... not enuf uses.

Not so, Hex. I practised for three months and I couldn't cut all the way through a plank of wood. I don't think anybody with no formal training could cut through bone.

You also need to learn weapon maintainance and such.

2Xeo5.png

ross. bone is easier to break than wood.. i should know. anyways, on my earlier psot. you dont need to have SKILL to sqing a weapon. to use it effectivley, yes. to swing it? no.

Since you were...two?

Three actually, I said thirteen years sice it's only 24 days until my sixteenth birthday.

Keyword here being break. A katana is a slashing weapon. It is not designed to break things, but to slice them. And I would love to see you slice through bone like somebody who has actually been trained could.

Face it, unless you want to pay a master instructor for a good 5-10 years of training, YOU ARE NOT GOING TO BE ABLE TO USE A KATANA EFFECTIVELY AND WILL ENDANGER YOURSELF AND EVERYONE AROUND YOU BY DOING SO.

That is quite tragic. In a bad way.

Seriously, that's past infatuation. That's obsession.

2Xeo5.png

... dude... WHO SAID EFFECTIVLEy. i know how to swing the damn thing, isnt that enough? (stupid question.)

I know, but one can decide neither when to fall in love nor to be loved back.

Ross, you are underestimating katanas they are large razors, you only need to know how to hold them and be able to strike with a force mediocre or better to cut through bone.

Mather, if she doesn't love you back.

Get it in your head that she's a real [bleep], if she's hard keep thinking about the bad stuff she's done. Everyone is right here, you are seriously in limerance (can I use it in that context?)

No need, I assume you wash it with a cloth but google will help me, I simply search for weapon maintenance, no need for formal training.

Slicing the head off a zombie just requires you to swing a sword, we're not expecting you to go all Kei Pei, just swing it - its a zombie, it won't block the katana.

I've used a sword, not a katana though, a big heavy broadsword and TBH its not the hard to aim it, you just need to swing it a bit.

meatlover.png

I doubt anyone here (Except perhaps you, ross) can get their hands on a Katana anyways.

well i probs cant. im saying its my PREFERED weapon. god, cant you guys realize that stuff? even worse than me on a bad day..

I have a friend that owns three katanas.

Hex, try coming with advice on something you have experience on, as you apparently don't know a thing about love.

Right. We'll just go on the computer that we power with our magical energy, and use the internet service that magically works during a freaking apocyplspe.

Seriously. Do you think it will be as easy as wiping it with a cloth, or googling it?

Don't you think that a baseball bat with a nail on it would work as a weapon? Little or no maintanance, easily repairable, materials are relatively easy to find, and no expertise required.

The only difference between a disagreement between friends, an argument between strangers, and a feud between enemies is the ability to reconcile.

Actually, I believe all of you are underestimating the skill required.

As somebody who has personally tried it and failed, I can tell you that you have no idea how difficult it is to use.

Hex, a broadsword is actually a better choice. Since the weapon is so heavy it will almost always deliver a decapitating blow, but would take ages to recover.

A katana, on the other hand, would be easier to carry and take less time to recover, but is incredibly difficult to use.

As for maintainance, rust isn't what you need to worry about. The blade grows dull after use, and you need to know how to sharpen it, which is rather difficult to not screw up.

Earth, don't people who have a preferred weapon usually have some training with said weapon.

If you try to take a katana to fight zombies, you will die.

2Xeo5.png

To maintain a sword properly you need a honing stone or honing cloth, if neither are available use a cloth soaked with WD-40 (rust-spray and lubricant combined).

Ross, I know how to use both a shortsword and some sort of rapier, I also have had jousting matches with some of my friends using sticks so I know how to block and strike, I'm pretty sure I have the skills to wield a katana, or any other bastard-sword for that sake.

Well, I don't really need to google it now. I know what to do.

The internet will work for ever, power will work for a shorter time and some servers will go down. However I will still be able to get some servers at some places.

Ross, broadswords are heavy!

Also, a katana could slice through the brain pretty easily, If i simply hit a zombie through the head that would kill him.

meatlover.png

god... ross, its a prefered weapon. not the best to use, but a PREFERED weapon. not like theres any way in hell im going to eb able to get uit. so why am i agruing the point?

Earth. If you know you wont be able to get it, perhaps you should start coming up with PRACTICAL ideas.

... you said what i would do in BEST CASE SCENARIO. that was the best case scenario. in worst case scenario, id use my lacrose stick to bludgeon stuff until i got soething more effctive. <_<

Can anyone think of any other things that are commonly found? I'm thinking tennis racquet.

What you going to do, play tennis?

I can just imagine you playing tennis against a wall and then trying to hit a zombie with it, the zombie wouldn't move a bit.

Baseball bat with nail - that would kill a human, you need a baseball bat with a razor in it.
