Yeah but then you'd need to fence them in, and armed guards for them, and bait to make them run the correct way. I'd be much easier to burn them and steam power everything.

Seriously? These are incredibly stupid ideas. I don't think we could exactly build a steam powered generator. Burning zombies is acceptable, but burning humans, no. Even if they're infected. If someone get's infected, we either have them kill themselves, or kill them. If we are extremely low on ammunition, and have no suicide tablets, and we wouldn't have time to brew a poison about whatever we have, we wait till they go into a coma then we kill them. Using a rock is stupid, there's a high chance of failure, requires you to be close to the person when you kill them, and is messy. A knife would work. Then we burn the body, and throw whats left over the wall.

You do get some Carbon Monoxide in smoke, and yes, it is deadly. However, there is a higher concentration of Carbon Dioxide, which is not as bad, but still hazardous in large quantities.

 

 

 

Why the [bleep] would you been inhaling the smoke anyway? It wouldn't leave to more zombies, the virus is not airborne, so burning the body just disposes of the body, and virus.

 

 

 

Besides, we're likely to be outdoors as they are easier to defend, so poor ventiliation is not a problem.

I said that if we have fire we can have steam, not we will have steam. If you're going to insult me do it properly. Whatever function smoke serves in term of power don't forget it is still hot. Food can be cooked on smoke alone, so don't just completely disregard it.
