December 3, 200718 yr (Note to admins/moderators - if this is in the wrong forum, please move it to the correct location) Hello, I am starting a Runescape Podcast with a company called Broken Eggs Media. When the site is finished it will be located at this address - Runescape Podcast. We currently have two hosts (Myself, and my cousin), but we are in need of at least one more for an end total of three hosts. We are looking for someone with extensive knowledge of Runescape in general. Preferably a long time member of the game. High stats would be preferred for obvious reasons. So if you think you got what it takes, and you are willing to dedicate some of your time each week to producing a high quality podcast related to Runescape then please contact myself through an e-mail (). Please, only serious need apply, anyone who is not serious will be turned down instantly. Remember, the e-mail is my first impression of you, so think through it before sending it. Thanks, Patrick from Broken Eggs Media
December 3, 200718 yr Does RuneScape have a Feed? What do you mean? like a news feed? RSS (formally "RDF Site Summary", known colloquially as "Really Simple Syndication") is a family of Web feed formats used to publish frequently updated content such as blog entries, news headlines or podcasts. An RSS document, which is called a "feed", "web feed", or "channel", contains either a summary of content from an associated web site or the full text. RSS makes it possible for people to keep up with their favorite web sites in an automated manner that's easier than checking them manually. - Wiki I am Teh_King[My dA][My Last.FM][My Twitter]
December 3, 200718 yr Author What will the Podcast be about and how do you plan on communication? The latest news from runescape, the latest community news, tips, tricks, and more, the communication base will be Audio/Video. You can check some of the other podcasts to get an idea of it. 007freak wrote: Quote: Does RuneScape have a Feed? What do you mean? like a news feed? December 3, 200718 yr thatl be pretty cool if its done right make it around 5min long so ppl dont get bored It will be an hour long podcast An hour? ouch. 1. I don't know if i could watch something for that long. 2. I don't know if there's enough material to go for an hour a week?
December 3, 200718 yr 2. I don't know if there's enough material to go for an hour a week? Agreed. A month perhaps, but definitely not a week. Now there are a couple of things I'd like to know before I consider this. 1) [not really important, but it's a legit question none-the-less] Since you say that you will be doing this with a company, will there be any benefits, either monetary or otherwise, to the person who is chosen? 2) Will the person be able to communicate with you via the internet for the podcasts (like using a microphone) or will some arrangements have to be made for the person to come to you guys. 3) What makes you think (this is an honest question, not casting doubt on this project's success ability) that you will be able to make this podcast worth it? Do you have advertising somewhere that you plan to use? Besides these forums and the other fan sites, how do you plan to get your podcast noticed by those not using fan boards? don't worry, you are going to "hell" anyway. wanna race to see who gets there first?Officially reached 100 Combat at 1:33PM EST, June 14, 2007First Dragon Drop: Dragon Chain (Dust Devils) @ 10:48PM EST, July 14, 2008, lv113 combat
December 3, 200718 yr Author 2. I don't know if there's enough material to go for an hour a week? Me and my cousin alone without a third host are able to make an hour episode easily. Yes and no, It is a sponsor based company, so as we get more sponsors we will be making more money. The end goal would be to have salary non the less, and a benefit of such would be getting free games when they come out (We got battlefield 2142 for free when it came out since we are sponsored by EA games) 2. All voice recordings/communications are done over a free program called Skype. 3. We have many sponsors that will advertise us, we also plan to try and get JaGex to sponsor us. We also will be as you said advertising on the fan forums.
December 3, 200718 yr Author seriously, what are you going to talk about? I already answered that question
December 3, 200718 yr I'm glad someone is willing to make a quality Runescape Podcast/Vodcast! :) If you want my advice about the time requirements per episode, I think the hour is perfect for audio only. However if you plan on releasing Vodcasts as well, I think they should be only around half an hour. Since Runescape is updated each week I think you guys should be able to pull it off. I listen to a lot of podcasts: [hide][/hide] (Case in point) And I've noticed the lack of a good Runescape Podcast, so if there is anything I could do to help out just tell me (PM, Email, etc.) If I can do any of the online stuff or help out on the website I would be more than willing. Although don't want to be a podcast host (At this time at least.) You'll be filled with the confidence to take on the world."

We are only in need of hosts for different shows, in this case Runescape. If you change your mind please e-mail me.
December 3, 200718 yr This sounds like fun, if you need any tech help, I'll help with that But I have no voice talent

Well, actually, there are a few good RS podcasts--boring, but OK for a game podcast... :-# Anyway, check out TWIR and RuneScape Radio. If you're planning to do this, then I think you should come up with a better name. I can't do this (no time) but I'll be looking forward to it. Avatar by Unoalexi!
December 3, 200718 yr hmm, interesting! its good to see that you guys have a good sponsr company, so this wont die due to lack of listeners. i might like to do it, but i ant garrentee that id beable to do it, so i wish you luck on your search, and look foward to the finished product :D [hide=Siggy credits]The Awesome, Epic, Amazing, S3xah A-10 Sig By Unolexi! December 3, 200718 yr I thoroughly enjoy runescape podcasts and if you can gt the whole community involved it will be really big because the rse podcast i listen to is fantastic in a rather small community of skillers. Its here if you wanna get a feel on what other people have done before(although its rather informal and jokey) good luck
December 4, 200718 yr Author Thanks for the comments, I will create another post when our first episode comes out separate from this, this post is simply us looking for one more host.
December 4, 200718 yr Author All of the podcasts Broken Eggs Media produces are an hour long video audio podcast

Would be a lot of fun. I do English to Japanese and Japanese to English translation for free! Just keep it under 5 sentences, and PM me to use my fluency in Japanese to your advantage!
