Autos were not good for runescape, they were good for players that both didn't want to gather items themselves AND didn't feel they should have to pay a fair price to those that DID.

Now that this flood of illegal resources is about to end we will see FAIR prices for resources.

Some prices WILL go up. This will lead to players either PAYING that higher price, or getting off their duffs and gathering it themselves.

Don't really expect shark prices to go up. Or anything combat related. Sharks were primarily sold to pkers, so while we may have less incoming supply without the bots, we'll also have less demand without that sector.

Same holds true for a lot of things, actually, like rune gear. With gravestones and no risky pvp outside of one-iteming in the bounty hunter crater, demand for disposable armor is going to floor out. Trust me on that.

If all bots were gone, but trading and pking and all that was still alive, then Im sure we wouldve seen a brilliant runescape.

This is dream, those thing cannot coexist...(hmmm.i doubled message, sry)

You are a real life innovation newb.

The day you log into runescape with swiping your finger trugh a bult in DNA reader incorporated into any machine making it impossible for other people to log into your RS account and when JageX ban your DNA profile when you break rules so it is impossible for you to ever enter Runescape.com again it will happen.

Oh and then they can also manage to keep everyone that is under the age of 13 away for good. Age limits on the web will mean something.

Sharks are still used for high end monster killing. If Jagex fixes group drops sharks use should be high enough.

Yeah....

Jagex refuses to collect personal data on anyone that's F2P.

I don't think you can get ANY more personal than DNA. SO I doubt that will ever happen.

Still, as of now, sharks don't have much purpose, and even if they do fix monster hunting, that'll be more of a demand for monks and brews. Sharks had already been used only marginally when mh'ing.

Price on them is going to floor.

Macroers get:

Logs

Fish

Cooking material

Flax

...

ANYTHING & EVERYTHING

That holds the economy stable for now,

but if they all gone, seeing as barely any real person would do that crap for 2 weeks straight, the cost of these raw materials will go Kaboom! And crash, thus having a very bad price crash.. Again.

^^That was just added to validate my point more

Obviously you dont know what a price crash is.... a price crash is when prices fall hugely. If macroers were banned then items like logs... ores... flax and bs.... rune ess... d bones for example, these prices would fluctuate hugely and drive prices up by about 20-30% of what they are now.

Take a look at the recent fluctuation of d bones for a good example, last week they were 1.55k ea, now they are 2k ea

Since the macroers would be banned the demand for the items would stay the same but the supply would plummet, therefore the prices would go upwards by a fair bit

We'd get levels quickly, if they were the raw-material levels (Wc, Fish, etc)

But with things like cooking and firemaking; the costs will dramatically change and as they aren't much of a raw-material skill they'd be screwed.

When I say raw-material levels I mean levels that get xp by getting raw-materials directly, to use on another skill. O:)

I dont need a siggy no moar.

I sure will miss Xueying1001 to Xueying3001. They're good listeners, they rarely talk back and they never insult you if you got low wc level

I don't know how well this would work.

I do remember reading some material on the relation to smithing and mining, and the conclusion the poster made was that the ore one mined getting 85 mining was only a fraction of the ore it would take to get 85 smithing.

I can't find any link, and I don't have time to make the calculations myself however. >_<

It basicly was macroers that caused this dearth of 99 skillers. No, I'm not accusing the guys that got 99 did macro. I'm saying that with so much GP (from macro'd high alchemy from macro'd yew longs for example) and excessive items sold cheap (again, from overuse of macros) there was a surplus of items to level up even with a modest income.

Now, let's consider: Sharks should be expensive. It's LOUSY experience so the only reason to fish sharks is for the cash. If I can get more CASH from monkfish (5 per minute versus 1 per minute for sharks), obviously I'll fish monkfish since I get more XP to boot (assuming I did the quest). Same goes for Mage logs.

Look, prices will begin to rise which encourage players to produce those items bring the price to a stable medium. It's simple as that.

In addition, Jagex will still give us our pseudo version of macros called Manage Thy Kingdom, Hand in the Sand, and Battlestaffs at Varrock (probably missing some). By introducing variants of these where high level players can get their own resources to use or sell, it also stabablizes the market (except in case of maples).

Yeah, prices will be higher or lower, but it will still be because PLAYERS either want it more than other PLAYERS want to provide it, or vice versa. Now your effort will determine the price, not the never tiring bot.
