I was inspired by Rammstein to beat the crap out of a bully in my school.

I was inspired by Trans-Siberian Orchestra to enjoy Christmas a lot more.

 

 

 

I was inspired by Muse to question things more and to ask why and to always notice the detail in things.

Music inspires my poetry. As for specific bands? usually its bands like Dry Cell, NickelBack, Linkin Park, Fall out Boy...but every now and then there's others

 

 

 

Music also inspires me to get really hyped up about stuff. Bands like Mettallica, Pantera, GZR, Stone Sour, Atreyu, In Flames, and bands like that make me get kind of crazy (great for when i'm about to execise)

Usually music helps motivate me artistically. The funny thing is I don't think there are any specific bands really that help. I've done pieces inspired by some black metal (Burzum, my journey to the stars) and I've been inspired even by lighter stuff and, well, about anything.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It also can get me hyped up for PvP in various games (usually WoW now, used to be Lineage II). There is just something about listening to a band like Mayhem, Cannibal Corpse or Necrophagist while in PvP that is just awesome.

 

 

 

 

 

My favorite thing is whenever the music you are playing fits along perfectly with what you are doing. I was listening to a song that started off fairly slow (IIRC it was "The light that blinds" by Shadows fall) and the entire slow part was me, in stealth, moving to my target. The second I attacked the music started blaring into the fast part.

 

 

 

So cool.

I often listen to some tunes on my Ipod whilst in bed just before going to sleep.

 

 

 

I tend to listen to rock/metal stuff and I always feel great and inpired. I imagine myself doing all sorts of unlikely stuff (like performing the song myself at some gig or showing off to some bird lol).

 

 

 

Regardless, despite feeling inspired at the time, by the time I wake up, it's just another day, and the previous nights' excitement is forgotten lol.

 

 

 

 

 

Besides this, good music inspires me at the gym to achieve an extra rep' or two... or drive a little faster on the motorway ;) that's about it really.

A proper crazy song can get me really really pumped.

 

 

 

For example, I'm doing a journalism course at college which requires me to help with the college radio.

 

 

 

The team are all nervous like always, but as soon as a good song comes on we're all hyped up and confident.

 

 

 

I remember the first live show we did, it lasted about an hour and we were so hyped up we couldn't sit still for our next lesson.

Minor Threat inspired me to never drink, smoke, or do drugs.

Steve Howe, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Brian May inspired me to learn to play guitar. :P As well as did all the music I listen to, wasn't jus the guitarists (though they're the main reason).

Lol, that's exactly what I do. It's always me at a talent contest blowing everyone's mind with my skill. :P

Before every hockey/soccer game, I listen to one of two songs, preferably both. They really get me hyped, and if I have them running through my head during the game, I'm on fire.

Listening to electronic music inspired me to try to understand all types of music. And now, I'm a fan of even opera! :)

One Little Victory and Malignant Narcissism by Rush.

It affects the way I write and draw alot... For example, when I'm listening to hardcore metal and stuff like that, my pictures get a lot more violent and my humans lose their thing that makes them look human, as opposed to vile killing machines. Also, my stories become a lot more violent when I'm listening to metal. And the same goes vice versa.

Power metal helped me write a 50,000 word story.

Music inspires me how to cope with down and upsides of life. for everything you can ever encounter, music can be your way to guide you through it. That's why i think music must be part of all of us. :thumbsup:
