speedofsound
The Shins You can't ever find a place that's nice and peaceful, because there isn't any. You may think there is, but once you get there, when you're not looking, somebody'll sneak up and write "(bleep) you" right under your nose. Try it sometime. I think, even, if I ever die, and they stick me in a cemetery, and I have a tombstone and all, it'll say "Holden Caulfield" on it, and then what year I was born and what year I died, and then right under that it'll say "(bleep) you." guss
Thin Lizzy. 1970s metal... mind i say I am better at not so "metal", even though i can name at least one song of Acdc, cream or led zepplin. guss
Ungl'Unl'Rrlh'Chchch If i could pronounce it ... Thin lizzie and still be identified as classic rock in my book. My pure's stats: str:70attc:35def:4range:72mage:70hp:
pryomancer
You said 'some punk'. And put your answers in one post, no need to multi post them all.
Azvareth
I kind of thought we would get a bit more than a, "they're a band" as a reply. Seriously, most people who are somewhat into music can do this easily...
rushrock
I see now that guss doesn't know what he's doing. :? @Nadril: Lol, I was waiting for something like that. How do you even pronounce something like that? Just random grunts?

You're kidding, right? Correct me if I'm wrong, but you just labeled Cream as a 1970's metal band? EDIT: And where's my "info" on Klaatu? :( "El que no arriesga no gana"
yomom1919
Since the opening poster is obviously kind of lacking, I think we should turn this into some sort of classic rock trivia thread, or a complete-the-lyric for classic rock thread. I've been waiting for one of those for a long time, and was probably going to make one soon. So here it goes: Scott McKenzie, and what song he was famous for. Nadril
I see now that guss doesn't know what he's doing. :? @Nadril: Lol, I was waiting for something like that. How do you even pronounce something like that? Just random grunts? Dunno how you pronounce it, the name is from an HP Lovecraft work. Also its a drone/ambient metal band. And, yes, I posted it because its probably the most obscure band I heard lol.
pryomancer
Classic Rock is my favourite genre. :o Did you know, Jimmy Page sometimes played his guitar with a violin bow? And apparently he's a grade 60-something at guitar, (couldn't find if it was true, but I wouldn't be surpirsed.)
How2PK
Stevie nicks... isn't there only 2 people in the band. What has got Stevie Nicks to do with Steely Dan? She was with Fleetwood Mac. Ry Cooder. Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!

EDIT: And where's my "info" on Klaatu? :( And of cores also 1960s Well yes, Cream was only active in the late 60's, but they're a complete opposite of metal. And I'd hardly call AC/DC or Zeppelin "metal", more of hard rock/blues. "El que no arriesga no gana"

Led-Zeppelin
Classic Rock is my favourite genre. :o Did you know, Jimmy Page sometimes played his guitar with a violin bow? And apparently he's a grade 60-something at guitar, (couldn't find if it was true, but I wouldn't be surpirsed.) I got him doing that on DVD, so awesome. And John Henry Bonham does a 20 minute drum solo, one part he puts down his sticks and starts jamming with his hands, hahahaha.
guss
If i said any thing els... I would be cheating... I don't listen to much of them but this album Two against nature(and that was a wile ago)... Metal...Cream(personally i feel like they are blues rock, no doubt)Has structured and guided metal as what we know it today...I know "I Feel Free" is not exactly like the sound lamb of god or spinal tap but with out them... the building blocks of metal wouldn't have turned into the same sound.
