This is supposed to be a fun thread, it really isn't happening.

 

 

 

You go to the front page one day, to see that a recent update has happened. As you click "Read More" you read this:

 

 

 

"Here at Jagex, we have received many complains on the Rants Forum about issues with slow servers and lagging. We also have read many Rants that reject hard-to-make updates in the game. To solve this problem, we will be dumping almost all of the coding out of the game. The release of Summoning will be cancelled, seeing as many players do not wish to receive this skill. We hope this will make the game much simpler and will make Runescape a more pleasent experience for all of our players."

 

 

 

Confounded by this and not knowing what they mean you still expect your character to be wearing that full Veracs you put on him/her. But that will not be the case.

 

 

 

You click "Use an Existing Account", and for some reason it skips the Detail and World Select pages.

 

 

 

Suddenly, when you hit the login page, you see that the stone and flaming Rune-themed torches are gone, and the whole thing is replaced with an ugly brown rectangle, with the username/password fill-ins drawn black as if it were made on MS Paint. You think, "Hack?"

 

 

 

Anyhow, you attempt to log on to resume your fishing. But...

 

 

 

"Incorrect username or password- please try again"

 

 

 

Gone.

 

 

 

Your main account is all gone.

 

 

 

You are horrified. Years of work may have all gone to a waste. You rush to the Main Page again, hoping to see it as you first went to it in the hopes of using your recovery questions.

 

 

 

But, It looks just like the Login Page now. No links, other than create an account, view recent news, or use an existing account. All in the same ugly black-and-brown format. The recovereies are lost, along with the Forums.

 

 

 

You woefully log into your skiller, successfully, thank goodness, but- WAIT!

 

 

 

Your character is nothing but a green square, that says the following on it:

 

 

 

C1

 

M5

 

W0

 

A0

 

 

 

It is among a few other green squares and purple squares that have similar combinations of letters and numbers on a solid, red background. The toolbar is removed, and one of the purple squares moves toward your green square. You see,

 

 

 

Hit

 

 

 

Miss

 

 

 

Hit

 

 

 

Hit

 

 

 

And your green square moves to the bottom left corner of the screen.

 

 

 

Baffled, you quickly visit the Knowledge Base- which thankfully, hasn't been changed yet.

 

 

 

It says the combinations of letters and numbers on the characters mean this:

 

 

 

C1=Combat Lvl 1(Replaces all Combat skills)

 

 

 

M5=Making Lvl 5 ( Replaces all Non-Combat skills)

 

 

 

W0= No Weapon

 

 

 

A0= No Armor

 

 

 

The entire map consists of that small screen you were on, the purple squares are Monsters, and the Green squares are players.

 

 

 

When the green square moved, it had died.

 

 

 

You and the few green squares that were there there were the last players left on RuneScape- now known as SimpleScape.

You'd probably hate Jagex even more for doing that to the game, right?

 

 

 

Well stop complaining about the recent updates, they could have been much worse, such as making everything only P2P or only F2P, or making the game into a cheap, easy to win, horribly designed game like as mention above.
