However, Runescape still has its place as number 1 free MMORPG according to several gaming sites. December 31, 200718 yr With the huge amount of advertising WOW does, I doubt RS could ever outrank it.... as Jagex only used 3 other sites that link to it, and the rest of the advertising is only word of mouth....

Retired 2146 overall - 136 combat - 6 skillcapes Plus I think the whole teenage girl thing will end soon (hopefully), because my girlfriend is absolutely in love with him(she is 18), and im beginning to feel threatened by his [Justin Bieber] dashing looks.
December 31, 200718 yr Its not really that hard to imagine, RS has a great storyline and game play, the only thing that it loses out to against WoW is graphics.
December 31, 200718 yr Wow, I'm surprised by those statistics. I never really noticed how popular Runescape was and I'm definitely surprised by it being number 3. I was expecting around number 10, but obviously I'm wrong... I couldn't believe this because recently so many people seem to be ranting about runescape all year but then all of a sudden number 3? That insane, and then I look at the game to be a potential #1 in the next comming year. Its highly possible. So many people seem to be quiting but does it matter? Newer players fill their shoes daily and with newer updates like summoning comming out many people are even comming back. I personally think that runescape will get a boost from this update. The community in Runescape will just be so much better without scammers at every corner, noobs begging for cash (3k's not too much anyways) and bots at ever streetcorner. I predict a flock to Runescape in the next half year after people accept the changes and understand how much it will benefit the game. Runescape just seems like it can beat World of Warcraft, if not 2008 then maybe 2009. I wish Runescape the best of luck in doing this and with constant update to make the gaming experience better, I would not be surprised if Runescape did become number 1 by the end of next year.

December 31, 200718 yr RuneScape would have a chance but were trailing WoW by about 5 million players. Now if they have other criteria (especily for cheaters/macros) then we have a figthing chance :o
December 31, 200718 yr I play both WoW and Runescape, I highly doubt RuneScape will become #1 compared to World of Warcraft's 9.3 million players, plus an expansion on the way. I hope it gets up to #2 though... And in the future as RuneScape improves I can see them being a close competition.

Hacked on January 5, 2007 --> Lost: 56.4M, Santa Hat, Purple Partyhat, Green Partyhat, Christmas Crackerpeople who get rich and do it legit like joob and I always get f'd over in the end.
December 31, 200718 yr I could see runescape passing it. The morning rs had the articles about RWT I asked a WoW player what they did with bots and their answer was "we don't have them." Same with a few other games. Which means if WoW doesn't do anything runescape could pass it if they upgraded their game a little. If they don't then no it will never happen. Ponies!
