31 December 2007 - Unbalanced Trade Reminder

Featured Replies

We would like to remind you about the removal of unbalanced trade, which will happen on the 2nd of January, 2008. Please prepare yourself for this change as you will not be able to make unbalanced trades once the date has passed.

We will be introducing a change on the same day, which will allow you more flexibility when trading. As you may have read in our Future Changes to Recent Updates newspost, this is an increase to the 3,000gp staking/trading limit, based on the number of Quest Points you have.

More details will be given in the Behind the Scenes newspost, and on the day of release.

To read more about unbalanced trades, please visit the Knowledge Base page.

I like how they are making the limit flexible.

I don't like how it depends on a players QP

Well really its the only cheat proof way. You can macro most skills to get levels up. Quests take time and non computerized guidance.

I hope it changes to something like 100k if you have done most of the quests. Would be enough to lend most of the cheaper items between friends (also after logging out...).

- Back to casual f2p scaping due to limited time (university and girlfriend <3:) -

I can't wait for January 2nd finally noobs will have almost no reason to beg unless they beg for 3k gp which some probably will.

This is the perfect incentive for Jagex to start churning out some more quests. There were only fourteen this year. They should have at least 180 by the end of 2009.

Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:

 I didnt think of that. That means the trade limit will go up as new quests are out. :D

Don't bash me for that, I know it's unrealistic, but one can hope.

You can bet that jagex will be monitoring unbalanced trades like phat sets from stakers to their mains so watch out drop traders because i wouldnt be surpreised if they copped a lot of people for it

they told us about it anyway but i think people forgot about this and concentrated on summoning.

That means BTS tomorrow and game update on Wednesday! Woot!

Finally, RWT is dead. Now we can move on...

Incorrect. This means that if you want to trade the max possible which is 30k then you would need to keep on completing every quest that's released. You need to complete ALL quests to be able to get the MAX of 10x the amount you're trading.

2146 overall - 136 combat - 6 skillcapes

Plus I think the whole teenage girl thing will end soon (hopefully), because my girlfriend is absolutely in love with him(she is 18), and im beginning to feel threatened by his [Justin Bieber] dashing looks.

No BTS tomorrow most likely, Jagex will be taking a day off from their hangovers like myself and many other people around the world

BTS will probably be 2nd January and followed closely up with the new limit set in place and possibly another update.

To the Members that don't do the quests, shame on you. lol Quests are easy ways to get your base levels up before you actually have to start skilling them. On top of that some quests open up new places or new ways to get around, ex. fairy rings, hot air balloon, anchients, lunar magic. and again on top of that, they can be really fun and actually get you into the game more. I don't know that's just my two cents, and no I do not have the quest cape but I do have 209 quest points. I have fun at it I guess.

EDIT:

RIP Runescape, January second 2008.

Why post something if you aren't contributing to the conversation. If you don't play Runescape anymore why still say something about RIP Runescape. Of course it is dead in your eyes....you don't play anymore.

Yep, funny how best update ever is on 1/02. :)
