Sir_Alex85
Speaking of Metal, Swedish Television will be showing the Iron Maiden concert in Gothenburg this summer live! :) Since they'll be showing it here, I would be very suprised if other channels around the globe weren't presented with similar oppurtunities. Just a heads up in case anyone didn't know about it yet. Sweet. Thanks for the heads up. It really has
Augsback
I just got the new Avenged Sevenfold - City of Evil. Very different from the first and second cd but it doesnt sound that bad at all since the lead singer lost his voice bascially. :?
Hulk12
Dang some of you need to learn how to classify bands. Gun N' Roses is not metal. There's a diffrence between Classic Rock and Metal. Metal- Lamb Of God Slayer Anthrax Those are some I listen to.

I think they go in the same category as "The Darkness"... pop rock. A recent study shows that 92% of all teenagers have small purple pet elephants named Jack. Hulk12
I think they go in the same category as "The Darkness"... pop rock. I sincerely hope you're joking. I really hope he is. "Pop" should never be used in the same sentence as Guns N' Roses. And I still would'nt say there Metal even they are not Classic Rock. Same with whoever said AC/DC (actually they said ACDC, which is wrong because when there is no thunderbolt available the / is proper replacement.) but any way AC/DC is Classic Rock/ Classic Hard Rock. I might even go as fas as to say Black Sabbath is classic rock.
Sir_Alex85
AC/DC Is probaly classic rock. Guns N' Roses isn't really old enough to be considered that, so I just call it Hard Rock. I forgot DIO. That's a good band. Hell, Ronny Dio is cool too. It really has
Danabis
I might even go as fas as to say Black Sabbath is classic rock. That's where the line gets a bit fuzzy. Bands like Rainbow, Deep Purple and Sabbath can be called metal, but they're sorta the bands who invented the genre. In the end, what the hell does it matter? Listen to what you like. Make7upu101
I don't normally listen to much metal it's just not my taste but I do have to say that lately my friend has been making me listen to dragonforce and those guys have just blown me away. the guitar solo in fields of despair is incredible. Morningstar
...Hardcore =/= Metal. As I Lay Dying = Hardcore. Avenged Sevenfold = Hardcore. ..I think I even saw a mention of the Casualties in here. The Casualties = Street Punk. But yeah. I'm not so much into metal...but have a list- Children of Bodom Cradle of Filth Danzig Dimmu Borgir Dio Iced Earth In Flames Iron Maiden Megadeth Metallica Pantera Slayer Sonata Arctica Soulfly Tool Zao Although Zao might be considered more Hardcore. And I'm not sure what Tool would be considered. I'd say System of a Down is nu-metal, or something like that. Though they're actually good..unlike Linkin Park/Slipknot/most nu-metal. But as far as genre goes, I'm more into punk and screamo, some classic rock, etc. Not much ska, metal, etc. Favorite band is AFI. Followed pretty closely by the Misfits, and Bad Religion. After that..I don't know. Been listening to Coheed and Cambria a lot lately.

Town Concrete, but I don't know if they would be considered metal or not.
