January 12, 200818 yr unless your rich and can afford buying overly priced yews...I suggest chopping your own yews to fletch, buying bs/flax (flax save a bit more money and you get some craft exp =]) and buying ess/nats and than alching. Buying yews+nats/ess+bs/flax=gp loss most the time. 99 attack-34,104th to 99 attack.
January 12, 200818 yr Author Mage Logs + Strings (Bought from GE) > Mage Longs (Sold to GE). Would that be cheap 85-99?
January 12, 200818 yr I've never heard of anyone buying mage longs, there more sold for more than there alch value aren't they? 99 attack-34,104th to 99 attack.

January 12, 200818 yr Author Woo I got 99 Flethicng before Update :twisted:Wow, helpful. Anybody got more advice? I sort've wanted it to be fast an easy as it has been 3 years before the unbalanced trade removal.
January 12, 200818 yr I've never heard of anyone buying mage longs, there more sold for more than there alch value aren't they? No... When I was buying alchs for 99 mage, I would lose ~56gp per mage long, instead of the ~84 gp per yew long. This was a week or two before the trade update. I would've bought all mage longs, but since yews were cheaper I could buy more to stock up on. Anyways, yes there is demand for mage longs.
January 12, 200818 yr I train it like this, and I earn profit: Buy yew logs (450gp) and bs (170gp), sell the longs at GE for 650ea
January 12, 200818 yr Yea, best way to train is to make yew longs, alch. 'Nuff Said. ~Knotch My Gamercard | Click for Blog | Mining Guide | Illumination
January 12, 200818 yr Yesterday, I bought 1.9k magic logs, and bow strings, and I MADE MONEY FLETCHING them, and gained alot of exp. Fletch then string, here is the prices that I recorded (specifically to see if I would loose any!) 1,950 Magic Logs @ 1,220 Each 1,950 Bow Strings @ 137 Each 1,950 Magic Long Bows Made @ Costing 1,357 Each 1,950 Magic Long Bows Sold @ 1,415 Each As you see I made 58 GP PER magic longbow, so, I believe this is the best method. Dont alch the bows. If you dont believe me, buy from GE one at a time and record the buy/sell price, just for 1 bow, then you will find out. I had no trouble buying the items time wise, took about 10 minutes, was able to finish my slayer task. Good luck! 99 Crafting :: 39,750th || 99 Attack :: 1,775th
January 12, 200818 yr 1,950 Magic Long Bows Sold @ 1,415 Each Hmm why would anybody pay that much? :-k
January 12, 200818 yr Yes they do, I put em on GE the other day, lowest price wasnt even below 1400. This is one of the better examples of Jagex's handy work. 99 Crafting :: 39,750th || 99 Attack :: 1,775th

That's above alch price :-s 1,536 is high alch price, if you get for 1,415, lets set natures at about 250, thats only 129 GP loss, its just like normal alching, which, people will still do if they can get good xp at only a small loss. 99 Crafting :: 39,750th || 99 Attack :: 1,775th
January 12, 200818 yr 129 is more than what people used to lose with Yew Longs though. I guess people are desperate now.
January 12, 200818 yr Yeah, guess so, anyone know how much yew longs loose now anyway? 99 Crafting :: 39,750th || 99 Attack :: 1,775th
January 12, 200818 yr Yeah, guess so, anyone know how much yew longs loose now anyway? 704+260=964 (cost of materials) 964-768=196 (materials cost minus alch = loss per alch) so almost 200go per alch assuming my nat price is right, i havn't logged in a while so i'm not sure of that.
January 12, 200818 yr Maybe maple longs... it's not extremly fast but it's absolutely free Just need Karamja Gloves Dharoks, emo's ultimate weapon if you know what i'm sayin. :lol:Very nice 10/10For a second when I was looking at your drop-list picture. Ilooked at the dragon longsword and said "They have a dragon longsword now??" ohh I'm tired :wall:..., then I noticed a gravestone where our tank was supposed to be and my health was a 1 digit number again.

I thought they alched for 1300-ish :wall: Yeah, guess so, anyone know how much yew longs loose now anyway? 704+260=964 (cost of materials) 964-768=196 (materials cost minus alch = loss per alch) so almost 200go per alch assuming my nat price is right, i havn't logged in a while so i'm not sure of that. That's about right (261-263). It's much cheaper if you make yew longs yourself; I guess people are too lazy to do that...
January 12, 200818 yr It's much cheaper if you make yew longs yourself; I guess people are too lazy to do that... When you have 120k+ alchs ahead of you, the last thing you want is to think about is cutting then stringing 120k logs. Although i guess that could change since this update. *apologises for off-topicness*
