Anyone ever been brought to tears by a movie? I know i have...

Battle Royale i found really sad when the teacher dies at the end and shuya has his flashbacks of his father's suicide. that really got to me...

Battle Royale 2 : requiem had me close to crying to, when the fort is being invaded and shuya just kind of, wants peace...

and i blarted at titanic, but i was 10 :P

Black hawk down got me upset too, when the guy has his leg broken and is shooting at the people as his last desperate act, that was awesome.

Ever happened to you?

I've had books (namely When Heaven Weeps, by Ted Dekker) make me cry, but never a movie. Now, the last bit of Ladder 49 made me sad, but not near enough to make me cry.

I've never cried, but 'The Pianist' and The Passion of the Christ got me pretty close.

Btw, the Pianist was more crying out of anger. Which is what I tend to do, I very very very rarely cry out of sadness or pure emotion. Mostly out of anger and frustration.

Phantom of the Opera makes me want to cry when I hear the music though.

heh...hardball when G-baby dies....:-D....and then they goto the championship after all the struggle and doubts, IMO the movie tells a truth of a youth growing in the ghetto...:-(

are u talkin about the officer who helps him in hiding, give him food and sh*t, if so he should of died, his kindness to one man was nice of him but he was still a soldier of the most hated military in the world, and he must of slaughtered many, its karma being kind to one man isnt goin to guarantee him to live, karma always catches up...sooner or later

In 'A Beautiful Mind' I cried when he got the standing ovation at the end. Standing ovations are the most beautiful things in the world. They always make me cry.

Glad I'm not the only one then :)

And, surprised that nobody else mentioned this, but surely lots of you saw 'The Lion King' when you were really young? And cried when Simba found his dead father?

Two animated movies:

The Lion King

Bambi

A handful of normal movies:

Les Invasions Barbares (The Barbarian Invasions)

The Green Mile

Philadelphia

Big Fish

In America

Diarios de Motocicleta (The Motorcycle Diaries)

Films that I'm going to see soon and that I have a small expectation of crying:

Mar Adentro (The Sea Inside)

SalÃÆÃâÃâò o le 120 giornate di Sodoma (Salo, or The 120 Days of Sodom)

That's about what I can think of now, there are probably a few more.

Now I've read trough the topic, and read Zealot's reply, I cried too with Hardball, when G-baby died. :(
