Is the 3k diference trade limit a good thing?

Featured Replies

I dont like it because I can't help my lower leveled friends with expensive things, that and the fact that there are very few people stupid enough to get scammed...

I like the idea, although I don't like that F2P can't increase their amount like members... Basing it on total experience could help that, but I don't much expect that to happen.

NO :!: :!: :!: :!:

In all bluntness, it's the worst thing I've seen them put in. Even worse than the buckethead Heraldic helms that look like spastic medium helms.

1. It stops scamming.

Another thing that stops scamming. Awareness. If some person walks up to you and says "Drop something on the ground and hit Alt + F4, it will get duplicated." Are you going to try it? Just trust them from the whole half a second you've known them? Well, any sane person would either: 1. Ignore them. 2. Call them an idiot and walk away.

Please, Jagex. We've spent the money and time to build up our economy for the past few years. You come in and completely change our prices. Not only that, we can't change them back. We shifted millions in gold, though non-existant, to bring up the price of a single thing. If you and you're oh so high-up workers will play the game, not just create characters and log in once a month, but actually play the game and try to get yourself further in your own world by earning money and doing quests, you'll notice that "Hey! Changing the price of _____ from 3mil to 30k was a freaking dumb idea." We had our own economy. You took it. I seem to remember paying money to join the game while it HAD IT'S OWN ECONOMY. :wall:

i strongly disagree with it.

we had freedom to trade since the beginning and now theyr putting up restrictions?!! makes it hard to find good deals and merchant

If Its so bad, QUIT!

Well there are two sides to this arguement.

1- The merchanters side. They complain that they can't sell something for higher the normal price THUS they have no way of making money.

2-My side. I think it's a good idea this way nobody gets scammed for like 50k I've wanted this to happen for a while.

Do you just not read? The limit had little or nothing to do with scamming; but was more towards getting rid of autoers and RWTers.

[English translation needed]

i personally think its a alright idea i mean i dont love it but it does help but the 3k limit should be a bit higer at least 5k and max trade limit 30k i reckon it should be 50k! then i gots 50k trade limit :D :D =D> =D>

i agree i reckon if you get into champions guild you get 10k trade limit at least or make more f2p quests?

How is there nothing to discuss? The fact that rwt is enough by itself to make this a good update. You think you may disagree because you merchant? The only downside I have seen is not being able to give items or cash to friends, which isn't that terrible.

1. GE is much better for merching (personally, I've made 50M+ in a week on several occasions, with little time/effort)

unless you had an odd large amount of Mill' to start you off, good luck accumulating that from 100k.

personally i think its a bit bad. only someone of low knowledge gets scammed, hence we have a knowledge base and fan stes for these questions. A friend of mine who quit had to use the falador party system to give me their stuff. in the end i got nothing while half the server did because trade limit prevented him giving me anything (and mind you i was realy pissed that day). the good side is things like RWT companies have been starved and are almost dead. i say almost because a few sell accounts which are still reffered as "Real World Trading". we'll never rid ourselfs of RWT companies but we may later on be able to flex things abit in the loyal players favor.

well thats my two cents.

perhaps we have a trade limit like the old pking system, optional system, but it still shows recommended prices or something.

ugh i hate the new trade limit!

it ruined those runecrafting companies that i loved using >:o

just ridiculous...

i think that the price range is a good thing and if you dont like it all you have to do is complete some quests and get the range expanded. Also people are too stupid to see that the 3k limit is ontop of the price range that every item already has.

Jagex did not ruin the economy they simply removed all the inflation that was brought in by bots and RWTs. =D>

I'm glad we got rid of the middlemen, they did nothing but be annoying and rip people off.

2480+ total

Yepp, I personally think it's a good thing! Getting rid of all those RWT scum...

So I can't give my friends some cash or a birthday present? I would rather see all the cheaters, who payed for gold rather than earned it, gone.

i'd like to see the trade limit increased based on your skill total and not the qp, mainly because not many autoer lasts long enough to get a high skill total, perhaps even remove it if you get above 1500 as you are clearly a loyal player.

It's a bad thing an a good thing but mostly a bad thing! You can't merchant, you can't give money to friends and stuff. The good things are the GE, no more macroers  no more scamming (but who gets scammed anyway lol, its your fault if you get scammmed)!

Mostly a bad thing but jagex had to do it and it was one of the few reasons of getting rid of macroers!

Finally they should raise the limit too 10k and mayb about the limit being based on your skill total.

Nah, It's fine the way it is now. Cause if people bother to RWT, as pathetic as it already is, they can only trade 120k every hour, so it's pretty slow and that. Raising the bar would only raise the amount of RWTing going on again.

No. Or it should be something like this: You and your friends (both must be added) are able to trade as much as they like, and if you're not both friends it is only 3k. Anyway only n00bs scam, and well n00bs are also on the recieving end of the scam. Very rarley is it that i see a lvl 3 try to scam a lvl 85 with full dragon. Nor do i see the lvl 85 scam a lvl 3. Simple as.

The time of darkness is here. Now the true vampire arises
