(Although when I EV trained my pokemon I Exp shared them and Amulet coined the first. :P)

Hey guys, I've got a question. I've read a bunch on EV's and IV's but I'm not sure I get it. I think what it means is if I had a Darkrai and wanted it to have high speed and special attack I would have to kill certain pokemon to boost that stat. Is this correct? Also, if so, how long should I fight that certain pokemon?

 

 

 

Also, if you had a chance to fight someone, not knowing their team with no restrictions, what pokemon would you choose? Only things I've got settled so far are Darkrai and Tyranitar.

1. Make sure you havent fought random pokemon, and fight pokemon with EV points, these dont give you stat boosts but they give your pokemon like 'mini-points' , so each level is higher than normal.

 

1a. Finish at 252 EV's for special attack, 202 Speed and 54 HP for darkai (i think thats ok) You get max 510 EV points. IV's are different and need to breed your pokemon.

 

 

 

2. A basic set, a staller is nice, tanks, and a counter to very overused pokemon.

Darkrai, Kyogre, Palkia, Scizor, Garchomp, Lugia, Parasect, Deoxys-A, Deoxys-S, Mewtwo, and Ludicolo are all decent choices. Tyranitar is probably not so good of a choice...

Macho Brace halves speed but doubles EVs, so you may want to look into that.

My friend is planing to make costumes for her and I for the Anime Expo and she want to go as Pokemon Ginjika. But she doesn't know which one. She showed me pictures and asked me which I like. There's one problem though. I dunno which to pick. Her options are

So I was correct, except those numbers would be halved if I used a macho brace?

Darkrai should almost always run +Spd Nature, 252 Speed, 31 Speed IV. Anything worse is practically suicide. I know it's not easy to get such a Darkrai (Timid, Hasty, and Naive total three natures), but unless you're scarfing it, a Darkrai needs max speed. The downside is obvious though, 3/25 natures * 1 / 31 is 3 / 775 chance of getting a good Darkrai. You'll be soft resetting a long time for it. :\

I had better start playing it more. I never did complete it, and recently I got all the way to the road before the Elite 4 before I stopped playing again. I just want a remake on the DS, and I will be happy.
