I'll be getting myself one of the games fairly soon, as well. I just have to decide whether I want Lugia or Arcanine more.

Oh, and can firered trade with these? If so, my Arcanine problem is gone.

There's a PAL park but it's in Fuchsia, so you'll be getting it late in the game.

Though on that topic if anyone with SS wants a growlithe I'll trade one for a vulpix.

Wait Growlithe is in HG? FFFFFUUUU-

Meh, I'll just trade with my brother.

My game keeps freezing, which is slightly annoying, though my screen is OK (its just a constant green tint kinda).

Doomy edit: I like sheep

Hopefully I will be able to pick up my copy of heart gold tomorrow, I still need to get $9.66 so i can pick up my pre-order. Luckily I have a friend willing to buy a MTG card off me for $15.

Grrr, I need the $20 to buy my Friend's old DS. But I owe money to some people so I have to wait at least three weeks for the DS and at least 7 for SS.

All of my Pokemon-playing friends have HGSS, and it makes me jealous. :(

For those worrying about the lack of fire Pokemon: You can find a Ponyta or Magby on Rugged Road which costs 50 watts (1000 steps) on your Pokewalker. Ponyta will be level 7 and Magby will be level 9.

How much does Pokewalker cost if you didn't pre-order?

The only difference between Hitler and the man next door who comes home and beats his kids every day is circumstance. The intent is the same-- to harm others.

[hide=Tifers say the darndest things]

I told her there was a secret method to doing it - and there is - but my once nimble and agile fingers were unable to perform because I was under the influence.

I would laugh, not hate. I'm a male. :(

Since when was Ireland an island...? :wall:

I actually have a hobby of licking public toilet seats.

The Pokewalker comes with the game, not the preorder. Like the wireless connector from Ruby and Sapphire,

I played this so much over the weekend. I have all 16 badges already and a level 56 gengar. He would be in the low 60s if I hadn't been using EXP share on Dragonair who is level 45 now. I'm taking a break for today and then I'm going to try to make a good team to take on Red. For those of you who don't know, Red is a beast. Much stronger than the original gold.

Heh, my friend already has 3 legitimate level 100's and only has 14 badges. Well, he said they're legitimate, and I kinda believe him.

*is skeptical now*

So far I've got nearly 8 hours on the game and only 3 badges :\

Just picked up SoulSilver today and am trying it out. Very pleased with it so far.

For the record, the last Pokemon game I played was Crystal in 2001. Almost 10 years ago. So I know almost nothing about the crazy gameplay changes (attacks that use a physical type but the special stat, and vice versa? whaaa), but I think I'll catch on quick. Not to mention figuring out what of the 200+ newbies are any good.

Gen II was always my favorite, so I'm pumped for this game.

I just evolved my Chansey into Blissey.

<3 that huge HP stat.

I was going to eat hot dogs for dinner tonight. I think I will settle for cereal.

Blissey is insane, just gotta watch for those physical attackers.

Blissey with Counter? Not like there are many things that can OHKO it so that might be a good idea.

It's time to grind Magby into a Magmar because all those ghost and poison types from Morty and Team Rocket only made Noctowl useful...

Also, red Gyarados! [bleep] yar!

This also why Chikorita is a bad idea

Would have been easier but my psychic type came just after I beat that part (Espeon)...

Who should I go with? Umbreon or Espeon? I don't have any good psychic (only drowzee that I never use.) pokemon, but I do have an Abra I can train up later. And Dark pokemon seem kind of rare right now, and they are powerful, since I have like 3 dark TM's that I can't use. I think I'll choose Umbreon...

So far I've been pretty happy with my team. Typhlosion, Ampharos, Graveler, Farfetch'd, Poliwhirl, and Eevee that I'm EXP sharing atm. Have a Tauros and a few other pokemon in the PC too. <3: All before even entering the Ice Path or whatever it's called.

Is there anything special to do at the Ruins of Alph? I'm trying to capture all 26 Unown, and I think I've finished all of the puzzles. Is there any reward or anything?

Unfinished netherrack symbol of Khorne.

Never forget. ~creeper face w/single tear~

DO YOU HEAR THE VOICES TOO?!?!

Every STAB user of Close Combat I can think of can OHKO Blissey.

Cross Chop on Electivire.

Not sure on Machamp's Dynamicpunch.

Scizor's Superpower.

Those are all unboosted, except perhaps with items.

You'll never really encounter any of those in the main story. And in competitive play you're probably smart enough to switch in those cases

I chose Chikorita. I've only played an hour since I got the game yesterday. Too much else to do.

I wonder why they kept the apricorn names abbrieviated? PNK Apricot? Why not Pink Apricot?

Probably the legacy factor.

The team so far: Croconaw, Graveler, Noctowl, Magmar, Machoke, and Nidorino.

Is anyone willing to trade back and forth so I can get Machamp, Golem, and Magmortar (when I find the Magmarizer)?

I'd be up for it possibly. Have a graveler and scyther, and could get a slowpoke or something to make it work

I haven't played pokemon in years, but crystal/silver/gold were my favorite versions, and I'm wondering if it's worth it to spend $35 and look weird buying a pokemon game at the college gamestop. I don't know if I can get on wifi on my ds with my new router, I don't think I can. Will it be worth it?
