Speaking of Marth, he's decent for boss battles as well.

So is Pit. Although the Mirror Shield goes up rather slow, if you angle it well you can shield almost any attack with no penalty, and reflect the projectile attacks.

Actually Lucas' PK fire is rather decent as a projectile. So is Ness', but they're pretty different.

But yeah Ness is way better than Lucas. =D>

The current SBR tier list doesn't agree though, even though Ness has better matchups than Lucas. :(

Thanks, I'll try both of those.

I put the Emphasis on the "most" though. There are still somethings, esp. Tabuu's attacks, that Pit can't Mirror Shield.

If you're feeling cheap, stay on one end of the field and spam arrows. Then when the boss tries to attack, dodge or MS accordingly.

I don't really think standing on one side and spam projectiles is a good idea, it is too slow to be really efficient. And besides, Rayquaza takes longer to kill with projectiles. I'll try it, still, because then I can be safe even though it is slow.

You cannot deny that Captain Falcon is the manliest character in Smash.

After my many attempts on Boss Battles on the Intense mode, I still failed horribly.

But, here are my best scores for each character you recommended.

Fox - 9 Bosses, Master Hand. The stupid "Flick" move killed me, and I entered in high damage. Seems like I underestimated him.

Ness - 7 Bosses, Meta Ridley. I thought his fireballs were absorbable, found out they weren't, and it killed me.

Meta Knight - 8 Bosses, Galleom. This annoying guy kills me so much! :wall:

Charizard - 7 Bosses, Rayquaza. For some odd reason Rock Smash doesn't do as well here, and the Tail Swing killed me.

Pit - 7 Bosses, Porky. Stupid Porky bombs killed me from behind.

Marth - 6 Bosses, Galleom. I suck with Marth, lol.

Anyways, thanks for all of your advices! One day I might finally be able to complete this nightmarish mode.

Both Marth and Pit require good timing. You need to know exactly when the attack connects so you can counter at the right time. I think Marth and Ike allow you to complete Boss Battles the fastest, since they can counter *almost* every boss attack. Ike would be a little faster since he is stronger, but his counter goes up a lot slower and he's harder to play with in general (compared to Marth). Galleom is actually a good matchup for Marth since Galleom is almost entirely physical, so Marth can counter anything he does (outside of the missiles, which you can counter, but it won't do much good since he doesn't fire only 1 and the next missile will therefore hit you if you counter the first).

With Pit, it's a lot easier, but you can't stand right next to the boss and shield, like you can with Marth. You need to stay a bit further back and you need to aim your Mirror Shield in the right direction. (The Mirror Shield is an awesome tool. It blocks so many attacks in the game. Many Final Smashes are blocked as well, such as Samus' Zero Laser.)

With Fox, you can also camp similarly to Pit. Just stay at one end and spam lasers. This goes a lot quicker than most projectiles since you have omghax rapid fire mode and they do about the same damage as most projectiles. Just stay at the opposite side and spam lasers, then when the boss does anything, act accordingly.

I heard Zero Suit is pretty good as well, but I'm not sure if your paralyzer (Dsmash or neutral B) can stun bosses. I know when Rayquaza uses Dig you can hit him with the Dsmash paralyzer.

I guess I'll have to continue mastering my dodging and timing skills. #-o

And doesn't Lucario have counter as well?

Yes but his sucks numerous [wagon] at once.

Yeah, considering that he only does high damage when he is also high damage himself, I put him as one of the worst characters to use for Boss Battles.

In fact, the worst 5 are Ike, Snake, Olimar, Ice Climbers, and Lucario IMO.

Actually, Fox has the best. F air copter into d air/u air does alot to bosses.

I was comparing all of Lucas' and Ness' attacks.

Plus, THROUGH MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE (I've completed boss battle multiple times) MK is by far the easiest. He has the most control (he's always in the air), does good damage, and can airdodge whenever he feels unsafe. The problem with Fox is he's way too much of a fastfaller, you have to know the bosses inside and out to stop attacking and play defensive, which you guessed it, is hard. This is because Fox has no defensive options while he's attacking, while MK does. Seriously, use MK, spam nairs and airdodges. Plus, he has the best recovery which can save your [wagon] if you mess up.

IMO anybody with a reflector/absorber/counter/oil panic is the easiest. If a character doesn't have those traits, it's harder for them because they cannot counter projectiles in any way. Speedy characters, characters with multiple jumps, and projectile-carrying characters are also generally easy, but it's not that easy for them still.

It's even harder for the big and slow guys because even though they hit hard, they are way too slow. Also, any character which has to rely on other things to attack (Olimar and Ice Climbers) are definitely the hardest, because for Olimar he has to make sure that his pikmin survive, and for Ice Climbers, if one dies it becomes twice as hard.

It's just my personal experience, so don't flame my opinions on Olimar/Ice Climbers. :-#

Woot! I FINALLY passed Boss Battles on Intense! \'

Here are my strategies with Fox, for each boss:

Porky: Luckily I got him first, otherwise I have nearly no hope of winning. Basically for this boss I just spammed lasers and spammed forward aerials, up aerials, and up smashes. The circling laser was hard to avoid though. Also I think this boss is glitchy, because right after I killed him, the Porky bot that it summoned blew up in my face, and I still took damage.

Ridley: The second boss. This boss is pretty easy generally, but there are a few attacks that just come out way too sudden. For example, his claw scrape attack. It has a big hitbox, and it comes out so quick that it is near impossible to dodge. Otherwise I just spammed forward and up aerials on him, wasn't much of a problem.

Rayquaza: Getting him as the third boss also means easy. While he generally isn't hard, he does have a massive amount of HP though, which makes him not really easy either. The ONE move that I have trouble avoiding is the Thunder, it's near impossible to avoid, and timing the roll dodge is ungodly difficult. Luckily it has no KO power so I don't have to worry much about it. Also, the lightning ball can be reflected, but for some reason it does very little damage to him.

Master Hand: Easy boss. Luckily he didn't do the overly annoying drill attack, it annoys the heck out of me. He did the gun attack instead, so I used my reflector to reflect it back at MH. Using the up aerial is slightly more difficult, because MH hovers low, and short-hop on often makes me miss the mark, so I just used forward aerials to kill him.

Duon: Slightly harder since he is the fifth, but he really isn't that difficult. For the blue side, I just get close and airdodge all of its moves. For the pink side, if it shoots missiles, I lure them back to hit Duon, dealing massive damage. If it shoots those purple shots, I reflected them back to deal some nice damage.

Petey Pirahna: Joke boss. Even as the sixth he isn't hard at all. I just spammed forward aerials, up smashes, and lasers. Not much to say here, since he is so easy.

Crazy Hand: Also an easy boss. He doesn't have the finger gun, which means no reflecting fun, but some of his moves can get in my way. The flopping on the stage can, for example, it always lands on me and begins the attack before I was able to dodge. Other than that, he is just like Master Hand, so I don't have to worry too much.

Galleom: Kinda unlucky, I got him as the eighth. Luckily, I took a heart before dealing with this guy so I didn't get KO'd. Basically all I did against Galleom is to spam more aerials and lasers, and constantly dodging and hope that he doesn't kill me. He has low HP so he isn't as hard as some of the harder bosses.

Meta Ridley: Even as the ninth boss he is pretty easy. I just jump and dodged all of his attacks, and when he did that fire shots move, I reflected lots of them back for a free kill. Easy win.

Tabuu: Ugh, this guy is a pain in the [wagon] to fight. Twice have I lost to him because of either his golden cage, or his multiple bodies attack. Anyways, since this guy is so high up, I just spammed up aerials and hope for the best that I can chip away his HP as fast as possible (he has way too much HP). To dodge the triple rings, I stood in the center, and sidestep dodged. It's easy to dodge, but one miss and I'm sent flying off the stage. Surprisingly, when he does the eye lasers, he only damages when they touch the ground. When I jump, it doesn't hit me, surprisingly. Anyways I just kept spamming the best moves I can, and eventually I killed him. \'

So, this is the order of which I find easiest to hardest:

Petey Piranha, Master/Crazy hand, Meta Ridley, Ridley, Duon, Rayquaza, Galleom, Porky, and Tabuu.

From Petey to Ridley is the easy bosses, from Duon to Galleom is the medium bosses, Porky is the hard boss, and Tabuu is the hardest and most dangerous.

Can't you reflect Rayquaza's projectile?
