I don't understand why people have such difficulty in multiplayer. With auto-aim on, it's the easiest game in the world. With auto-aim off, at least you have a slight excuse for sucking so bad.

Seriously, yesterday I was in a game (2 vs 2, team deathmatch, weak weapons) and got 32 kills, 2 deaths. The others seemed amazed.

catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream

YES!!!

GTA IV to PC in November!

I can't wait! Damn, this will be fun.

Pc gta's are infinitly more fun that console GTA's.If you havent played San andreas multiplayer mod then its like GTA mmo with dedicated servers ran by people who are trying to create these eutopian citys and have a team of 5 dudes run law enforcement, you cant just jack vehicles without consequances on some servers and have to buy vehicles...theres even people who play as road sweepers. Its like half as crazy as second life :P

Im stoked for the pc version though, i should have a new pc by then so i can enjoy the game with all the freedoms that arent on the console.

Grand Theft Auto Thread says: SUP GUYS

I've discovered renewed joy for online play. I've met a lot of good people. I also realized how awesome motorcycles are, especially on the runway at the airport. The zombie bike can take the little sign jumps and do an immaculately perfect backflip.

Continue.

This game is FUNNY.

Indeed. 4 Stars, driving, hit a barrier that I thought would break if I hit it fast enough, and it didn't. Flew out the windscreen, land on the boot of a taxi, and as I slid down a cop car promptly came and sandwiched me.

I love the new physics in the game, I view hitting pedestrians as less of a hindrance to speed, but more of an opportunity to send ragdolls flying.

I enjoy shooting someone in the leg, then running up and beating their brains out with my baseball bat. It's quite lol. Does that make me a bad person? D:

I don't really get it why people are bashing on the PC port as being horrible and buggy... It runs absolutely, 100% perfect with about 40-45 FPS on the following configuration I have on my other PC

4GB ram

Radeon 3850 HD 512MB

E5200 Dual Core 2.5ghz (overclock to 3.3)

Didn't finish the whole game yet, but I haven't entered a single bug or error. My friend tried the game on his 1GB ram, some mid-range nvidia card and a P4 2.8ghz, and it ran like total crap. It barely even started up and frequently crashed/gave error messages.

It's not an optimized port, but it's good. If you get problems while playing, it's highly likely the PC has inadequate specs for playing it.

The ending was great and i loved the dynamic between you and jacob who reminded a bit off Lance wance in vice city before the twist in vice citys story. Its not as good as the ps2 gta's for me because vice city is up there with my favourite games ever, it was just the most fun and the atmosphere of the 80's was such a nice change.

its a 9.5 and not a 10 that the gta fanboys hail it as, at least for me.I would love to see a next gen gta set in vice city, neon technology has come so far in gaming 8-)

Agreed, it is severely overrated by all the gaming sites. I would originally have given it a 9 but after finishing the soryline I'm thinking more of an 8.

Come right off it before you start. Or I'll start by going into every other port by R* and how bad they are.

after the trophies update came out for the ps3 now i have to play through the entire game again to get all the trophies

How is that a bad thing?

Personally, I've completed the game 3 times.

well ive played through the game twice fully and a few other halfway, the first time was golden, everything was perfect played with no cheats or anything, 2nd time was just for fun, cut corners cheated and the like, then a tried again and just mucked around

now ive been trying to replicate the first time, e.g. in the Romans Sorrow mission it was early morning and lightly raining and i save the game and wait around to get it the same, only cheat i use is the weather cheat (doesnt effect trophies)

yea it sounds kinda sad

Huh, does the Weather cheat still affect 100% though? I've heard that the cheats affect if you're able to get 100%.

Anyone can do that easily Hartlar, its no achievement.

But out of curiosity, how long did it take you?

Lol I know that, I wasn't trying to make it out to be something amazing. ;) I think it ended up being 23 hours, the last mission really pissed me off because I am awful with a motorbike.

Heh, I love Motorbikes, I'm better at controlling them.

I think it took me 17 hours 30 mins once, without my really trying, lastest was 21 hours 20 mins, but I pissed around a bit getting most of the stuff done for Liberty City (5).

I counted, it took me eight attempts to get the motorbike off that ramp. :P
