Isn't this like the 4th thread on this? If not, apologies.

People will keep using them, remember fullscreen is optional.

I have no intrest in helping "keyers" farm xp.

I'll probably stick too the Runescape client, I like being able to browse websites and use IRC while playing :)

I think Swiftkit will adapt like it always has done. They might create a new client for the full screen or they might just stay the way they are for the people who won't be using full screen. I don't think anyone can say, just going to have to wait. It is going to be an interesting month.

Most likely it will launch a window the size of the new fullscreen so you can play there, and have either a button or tell you to alt-tab back to a 'swift interface' that just contains all your tools and calcs and such. It cant be that hard.

I wonder what fullscreen will be like on widescreen moniters.

I think most people will still play it at normal size, after they play it with fullscreen a bit and find they dont like it.

I think that it will adapt in some way. How I can't say, but I'm almost completly sure of that it will adapt in some way.

They stated they will be having widescreen support.

SK will probably loose alot of users but many will stay. There isn't really that many perks to SK that I use. Half the crud on there can be found from various fansites like tipit

SK will evolve, ss won't, sk is newer

I don't think it will really affect it much, i use SK for IRC, hiscore/item/monster lookup ect.

Unless I get a second monitor I probably wont use full screen anyway.

If I do go full screen I will probably not use SK anyway and lower my CPU usage.

How can we even say when we don't even know how fullscreen is going to work yet?

How can we even say when we don't even know how fullscreen is going to work yet?

Because we, or at least I, know how fullscreen works in Java itself.

Might want to take a look at the java.awt.GraphicsEnvironment package.

GraphicsEnvironment.getLocalGraphicsEnvironment().getDefaultScreenDevice().setFullScreenWindow();

  • Nothing is safe from the jaws of the decompiler.

I didn't see anything in that coding on how SwiftKit is going to react to fullscreen in runescape, which is the point behind this thread.

I think it will probably be updated again in some sort of way. Perhaps it'll be given tabs to use.
