June 17, 200818 yr Well I just got members like last week (first time ever) And I was simply thrown back, with all I could do. I did some quests, and got 30 construction/26 thieving and a few other skills up, but now I just don't know what to do... I guess the problem is I have no one to talk to on the game, thus leaving me wandering round looking at guides and reading about the areas/story's as I go. I want to try Herblore, but I seriously have no idea where to start with that, and I need some money (had 2m but spent it). So what would you lot recommend for me to do? and where to start? I have done some Slayer and Hunting, and like I said before Construction/Thieving as well as some Agility, but none of these has given me profit yet =( So yeah, open for suggestions and a helping hand :D Thanks - AWCADDET Stephen Hawking is now a honorary member of the Runecrafting Guild. June 17, 200818 yr I personally recommend agility to 20+ so you can run around longer. Signature by Unoalexi.Tip.it's official signature picture of the quest-cape emote is me.Fire cape owner since May 17, 2011
June 17, 200818 yr I'll be your friend... Theif is a great way to make quick money. Until you get your fletching level up at least. There is no way to make "Millions fast and easy"... SO QUIT ASKING ABOUT IT!
June 18, 200818 yr Some of my recomendations: Get some kickass armor, a whip, and go rip castlewars apart. If you can't wield one and you can't afford one, then you have a goal to reach. If castlewars isn't your thing, try doing quests. The 'underground pass' is my favorite, if you like you could go towards that. Also consider desert treasure because ancients is pretty cool. If those quests are out of your league, train! I liked thieving cakes, then using them as food while training slayer. Make sure you make farming pit stops to mix things up, and get some fast cash! You could add me if you like. quit
June 18, 200818 yr Wait you leveled up construction first? Just stay away from construction and summoning because they devour all your money. Try leveling in skills which help you make money and then you can get better members stuff and ability to construct or summon longer. good skills for making money are fletching, fishing, smithing/alching, and runecrafting. Im not really sure about runecrafting but the others are good. Crafting is so so. Quick Link to Lem's Blog
June 18, 200818 yr you could try joining the tip.it cc if you want to chat...username of cc is "lightning" =) to make cash you could try rcing although the cash won't come in until u can craft nats...pyramid plunder is quite fun while training thieving too... maxed out melee on 10/10/08, current goal: 94/99 cookinglife may be unfair, but why can't it be unfair in my favor?my fake plant died because i forgot to pretend to water it
June 18, 200818 yr i have no experience in members, but ill share with as much as a i know... first just tell us ur stats, then tell us wat would u like doing. whether its combat or skills or allrounded. i see that u level skills so i am going to say do agility so that u can travel faster. and if u decide to stay f2p it will still benefit u. then do a moneymaking skill u enjoy doing. so probably fishing which can bring lots of money seeing how much lobbs cost and it is easier to fish tuna+ fish in members. then start doing money costing skills. if u get bored always do quests and stuff. if u want to know which quests to do first then look on another persons thread that asks that because there r many.
June 18, 200818 yr You should make a definite effort to get the essential quests done. Quests like Fremennik Trials to unlock berserker helm and yaks, Animal Magnetism for Ava's device to pick up your arrows for you, Fairy Tale to unlock fairy rings, Grand Tree for gnome gliders, Lost City for dragon longsword and dagger, Heroes Quest for recharging glory ammies...I could go on. There's so many with excellent rewards, even if it's just experience, like Holy Grail's 15k exp in prayer. Don't let anyone tell you that quests aren't worth doing. June 18, 200818 yr Hey, I'll be your friend. Add me in game: "Dr Locust" :P Dr Locust <-- Click for my blog...+2000 Total, PhD in Questing, Woodcutting, Agility, Thieving, and Firemaking
June 18, 200818 yr I recommend doing the "Tourist Trap" quest to get your Theiving and Agility to 20. Generally, questing will help you gain levels and help you learn how things work. Thanks Draynor.net!
June 18, 200818 yr As I like questing a lot, I did that first. Do the "unlock" quests for areas, like "priest in peril" (morytania), fremmenik trials (fremmenik province), fishing contest etc. Also do the summoning and herblore unliocking quests, so you have access to all skills. The requirements for these quests usually give you something to train for. They also help to get you familiar with all the different areas in Gielnor. As mentioned before, stay away from money eating skills as construction because....well...they eat money! :P Try minigames as castle wars, Barbarian assault etc etc for some fun and an opportunity to make some new friends. If you decide to train combat, do so in conjuction with slayer, it's xp in 2 skills at once! Other data was removed when acoount got hacked...
June 18, 200818 yr Author Thanks allot for the tips/info. Looks like quests it will be =D I did the first fairy tale quest, but I turns out the second one needed for fairy rings needs - 40 thieving - 49 farming - 57 herblore So I now have a aim to achieve that. And I don't know why I did construction first, I was new and just thought it looked cool :D But now I am going to save that till I get some money in, as well learn more about Runescape. I done the Priest in Peril quest so far, and about to do Druidic Ritual so I can start Herblore. And I will take the advice for the other main quests, for xp/areas =D Thanks for that. [hide=My Current Skills] Attack = 54 Strength = 55 Defence = 53 Ranged = 42 Prayer = 33 (35 from quest) Magic = 51 Runecraft = 41 Construction = 30 Hit Points = 55 Agility = 20 (Yes thanks for advice to improve it  ) Herblore = 1 Thieving = 28 Crafting = 46 Fletching = 1 Slayer = 12 Hunter = 15 Mining = 61 Smithing = 56 Fishing = 50 Cooking = 53 Firemaking = 54 Woodcutting = 71 Farming = 19 (All from planting trees in house and a quest) Summoning = 4 [/hide] So I thank you allot for the help, does help me a great deal. I am going to work on some skills needed for quests, as well as doing some. And I will have to try out castle wars Stephen Hawking is now a honorary member of the Runecrafting Guild. June 18, 200818 yr You only need to start the second fairy tales quest for acces to the rings, you won't need to finish it. tears of guthix is also a great quest/minigame My suggestion: try doing as much quests that unlock new transportationmethods.
June 18, 200818 yr My suggestion: try doing as much quests that unlock new transportationmethods. +1, that's a HUGE help for new members. The members areas are huge and it's wonderful to have quick ways to transport yourself instead of having to walk everywhere. Well I don't particularly have anything of substance to add to the advice already given, but I just wanted to say welcome and congratulations on members, I've never regretted joining :) Feel free to add me, Bunker Boy. Good luck 'Scaping!
June 18, 200818 yr You only need to do Fairy Tale 1 to unlock the fairy rings, because you can then start the second one and do enough to unlock em without having the requirements. And then you can start getting some nice profits farming herbs. Use supercompost, and you don't even need to watch your crops--they'll only die 10% of the time. All it takes is a little price checking to see how profitable it is, even at low levels. For example: Tarromin seed: 8 gp Grimy tarromin: 439 gp Harralander seed: 40 gp Grimy harralander: 929 gp Toadflax seed: 185 gp Grimy toadflax: 2177 gp ...This, and you average 6 herbs per plant. Remember, there are 4 herb patches: Catherby (Camelot teleport), Ardougne (Skills necklace, Ardougne teleport, fairy ring BLR), Phasmatys (Ectophial, fairy ring ALQ), and south of Falador (Amulet of Glory, Skills necklace, Falador teleport). Make sure to do My Arm's Big Adventure when you can, because it unlocks a new disease-free herb patch. And plant Marigolds too. They're also very profitable.
