To slay or not to slay?

Yesterday I got 90 slay

I'll do a few more tasks to get all rewards (allready got the helm)

Now I'm in doubt what to do after that.

I want to train my summon higher, so I'll continu leveling combat.

Now I got two choices:

1) Continu slay (am kinda bored of it atm and 99 would cost me about year I estimate)

2) camp out at a good charmdropper (if I want to raise slay afterwards, I'll have done double work)

Now I could use your advice on what to do:

option 1 or option 2 and if option 2, what monster to camp out at (melee training; preferably not waterfiends)

slay all the way to raise combat...you don't want to have your combat maxed out and then decide that you want to get 99 slayer...it will be a waste of combat experience...unfortunately for me i started membership when i was well over 90 in cb level so now im almost maxed out with 2 more str levels and 3 more magic levels but with 14 more slayer levels? >.< going to have to waste tons of combat exp on slayer if i want to get the slayer cape...

maxed out melee on 10/10/08, current goal: 94/99 cooking

life may be unfair, but why can't it be unfair in my favor?

Hmm, I'd say continue to 95 at least, there is a chance jagex will release a level 95 slayer monster and you wouldn't want to miss out on that ;) .

If you're bored of slayer after that and don't really care about the cape, just go camp at fiends or something.

So far most people say continue slay...

Just did the math and at my current tempo (25k slay-xp per day), it will take me about 300 days to get 99

Interesting idea:

95 would cost me 100 days or so, maybe a nice (sub)goal

Yes, I'd raise slay to 95, and if you're really bored of it, go camp at fiends for some crimsons and raise your summoning.

Slay!

Yes, it'll take a long time, but just think of all the experience you'll get on the way and that year won't seem so bad. And you'll be rewarded with a shiny cape at the end of the road. Arguably the best cape in the game.

Then again, I'm prejudiced, 840k experience away from 99 slayer ::'.

Slay.

As you slay you will get charms to use for summoning. Once you hit 99 slayer you can always camp out at monsters if required.

If you are getting bored, skill for a bit. I vary between combat and skilling to keep things interesting.

I also agree with slaying! Best skill ever, imo. Best way to raise combat, without wasting exp, and you still get the charms. :) Someone suggested going for 95 slayer. I think thats a good idea also. However, no one says you have to keep slaying RIGHT NOW, if you're bored of it. You are free to do whatever you want. :)
