I would hate to see another "Durial321" disaster take place. Test, test, and more testing to be safe. Also, I do believe the value of Third Age, Rares, and Dragon Full Helms, and Godswords will all drop.

I'm worried of a possible glitch, so the first few days I will not be lending out anything. :?

I think sounds like a good idea AS LONG AS:

 

 

 

if you die with a borrowed item in normal combat...you keep borrowed item and 2 best items..

 

if skull only borrowed item

 

 

 

or maybe have some sort of system where upon death the item goes to the bank of the owner.

 

 

 

 

 

Plus people saying people will not be as popular with a phat or mask they are wrong they "borrowers" cannot trade them so you could plainly see they are only borrowing.

Probably just feeds laziness. Why buy a whip when you can borrow it and train for a day? Why work for a partyhat when you can borrow one to show off for a few minutes? The list goes on, I'm not looking forward to it.

 

 

 

And plus, this isn't lending. Lending involves trust, this is a system put in because too much trust was broken before. :roll:

They're probably going to control the prices of rares and such so that they don't plummet like they normally would, but overall, I'm not looking forward to people bugging the crap out of me to borrow something.

The prices will vary accordingly after the update...

 

 

 

A person who had been dieing to buy a godsword for example, after borrowing one from his friend can find that maybe depending on his current stats, the godsword isn't as effective as his whip or maybe it is too slow for him. This will naturally cut out a potential godsword buyer and maybe many more than one.

 

 

 

However other people may find out how excellent an armadyl godsword is, which will make them buy one, and that would affect the prices too.

 

 

 

All in all, the prices will change depending on the effectiveness, rarity and looks.

i agree that most rares/gs/showoff items like d chain/gilded/god armour for f2p will drop a little purely because people will think: why would i buy it when i can just lend it from a friend. whips and other everyday items wont because if you want to borrow a whip, you either are close to levelling up or are dirt poor.
