I4prez
This is one of my first suggestions, so here goes nothing... [hide=Part I]This quest will be called Wilderness Paradise (any better ideas?). To start it talk to Mage Lifinous (Between Lumbridge west mine and the Water alter.). You need: 57 Magic 49 Smithing 23 Crafting 31 Prayer 10 Iron bars 5 Steel bars Any kind of gloves 20 Runes of each element Completed Rune Mysteries[/hide] [hide=Part II]When you talk to Mage Lifinous he tells you that he has discovered how to make portals that can take you to a secret place. You say that you can help, so he tells you to go to Reldo and research portal making. Reldo tells you that to make a portal you need to get 10 iron bars and 5 steel bars. You bring them to him, and he tells you how to smith them into a "Steel base" (49 Smithing) and an "Iron frame" (42 Smithing). Then he tells you to attach them together (23 Crafting) and give the "Unenchanted portal" to Mage Lifinous. He says to deliver it to his cousin, who lives in a hut on Karamja. When you talk to his cousin, John, he takes the "Enchanted Portal" and asks for some Fish weed, found next to the General Store. If you attempt to pick it, you get a message in your chat box saying "Ouch! You get stabbed by thorns." and lose 1 hp. Give him the Fish weed, and he will agree to help you. You give him the "Unenchanted portal", and 20 runes of each element (Air, Earth, Etc.) and he enchants your portal so it's an "Portal (u)". You take it to Mage Lifinous and he gives you a special pickax. He then tells you to go to the Rune essence mine and mine an "Essence chunk" (can only be mined with that pick). You bring it to him, and he takes the pick back and combines the "Essence chunk" with your "Portal (u)" and it turns into a "Portal". Put it in the "Magic hole" and jump in. It takes you to an island east of the wilderness (not in it), where there is a mine and monsters called "Dark Kanoos" (pronounced "Canoes") which are level 73, and are kind of like kangaroos but with 4 legs. There are also normal "Kanoos" which are level 70, but they are not a part of the quest. There is also a dungeon on the island (map coming soon!), some Yew trees, and ruins with a furnace and anvil. It is very good for people training mining/smithing because there is a mine so you can mine and then smelt/smith. There is also a one-way agility shortcut to the wilderness. Kill one of the "Dark Kanoos" and bring the bones to Mage Lifinous. He tells you to take them to the Monastery and get them blessed by the guy in the skillcape (name please?). Now you have some "Blessed Dark Kanoo bones". Take them to Mage Lifinous. He said he needed them to reward you for the quest. Quest Complete![/hide] [hide=Part III]For completing the quest you receive: 2k Magic Xp 1k Smithing Xp John's Note (Have it in your inventory and go to Karamja free on the boat.) 5k gold Blessed Dark Kanoo Bones (Bury for 400 Prayer Xp) You can go to the wildy island and kill "Kanoos" and "Dark Kanoos". 3 Quest points Key to the dungeon (haven't had time to work on the map).[/hide] Please post ideas and corrections, and no flaming please. Also, If you can make better pictures it would help. Just PM them to me with the code. Thank you. http://forum.tip.it/topic/173173-engineer-skill-and-railroads/<<Click! I support! Warrior_B666
Seems like a really short quest for it's reward :? and I'm not sure what the bones at the end r 4 And maybe the quest could be called The Path To Karamja? Magic Rift? Portal To Paradise? EDIT: It actually seems like a good idea, if you put those aside :P [hide=Funny Quote]Cbow! Cbow!!!!! +120 range is orgasmic. Or maul, thats what I'd get out of those two options.I agree with baconisbacon, Cbow looks freaking sensualRunescape: Where strong weapons bring sexual pleasure. The size of the e-peen0r is directly proportional to the rarity/power of one's equipment.[/hide]
I4prez
Yeah... I'll change that and add the map of half the island. http://forum.tip.it/topic/173173-engineer-skill-and-railroads/<<Click! Levon_
Not that bad acutally, but the rewards are vague. How do you go from anywhere to Karmaja? Is it a free boat trip, or do you go through the portal and end up in John's house. Also you should be able to travel to the island at your own will. What levels are the "Kanoos"? Are they strong or weak? Is there just one of them? You should gain access to the island and be able to train on the Kanoos. I think they would be more or less like lesser/greater demons (Level 88) (They will be much stronger than greaters though). . And how bout you need to use SilverLight to kill them (DarkLight would make them stronger). If you use anyother weapon you will stop hitting them when they are at 1hp, and you will also not recieve any exp. Include drops, just Kanoo bones? Or miscelanious items that make it worth killing ONLY after the quest. Rune meds, and fulls, addy plates, and sqs, and a rune chain for some bigger drops. Then add i runes and smaller drops --- 20 of any elemental rune, 20 chaos or death these are much rarer. And some steel junk, kite longswords, plates. Now, how will they player know to bring 20 of each elemental rune? Or maybe they will have to create 20 elemental runes (only used in the quest, no other function). These could be made by using a talisman of each element on the rune ess at the according altar. You will only be able to do this during the quest, and Lifinous takes any extras you may have made away after you complete the quest. Maybe this can tie in with some more QP for f2p which gives them a +2k trade limit. So here is it sumed up: -Must have completed Demon Slayer -Must be able to craft runes up to fire -You gain the ability to travel to John's Hut, and The Wilderness Island -You gain the ability to kill Kanoos -You gain 3 QP giving f2pers a 42 max, possibly allowing for a bonus 2k added on to the trade limit. You may use my ideas in part or full, whatever you think is apropriate. It's great you know what you're talking about rustiod. Everything you've said is 100% accurate a true. That being said...your a [bleep]ing [bleep] douchebag, and none of your advice will ever (or should ever) be taken seriously because of it.disregard good advice because the giver is a douche THAT MAKES YOU A BETTER PERSON
Zaaps1
Seems like a fun quest, but the rewards are kinda...pointless. Perhaps if the Kanoos were good for training. Yet if there was a good reward, this topic would get struck down with "F2P doesn't deserve that!". Hmm. Anyways I like the quest, but I think a little more work should be done for the reward. ~It's Super Effective! mememe513
Too short, if there was a quest with these reqs, you would expect it to be longer. My suggestions: -Make quest longer -Describe the monster on the island -Lower the magic and smithing requirements -No free trip to Karamja -Maybe add that you can visit the island after quest, put in ores or something? -And maybe put in a rc level req
I4prez
So here is it sumed up: -Must have completed Demon Slayer ~No. -Must be able to craft runes up to fire ~Why can't you just use your own runes? -You gain the ability to travel to John's Hut, and The Wilderness Island ~You unlock that when you go there in the quest, no reason to have to unlock it after the quest. Also, you can go to John's Hut any time, even before you start the quest, but he doesn't want to talk to you. -You gain the ability to kill Kanoos ~Umm... You don't need a special ability to kill them, they're normal monsters. -You gain 3 QP giving f2pers a 42 max, possibly allowing for a bonus 2k added on to the trade limit. ~Yeah, I forgot Quest points. I'll just say 3 then. Too short, if there was a quest with these reqs, you would expect it to be longer. My suggestions: -Make quest longer ~Sure! -Describe the monster on the island ~Hmm... I didn't do that, did I? -Lower the magic and smithing requirements ~Nah, It's going to be a high level-ish quest. -No free trip to Karamja ~No, I'd like that. -Maybe add that you can visit the island after quest, put in ores or something? ~After you place the portal, it never disappears. -And maybe put in a rc level req ~Nah. http://forum.tip.it/topic/173173-engineer-skill-and-railroads/<<Click! mememe513
Monastery.... Also, the 3 QP gives no additional trade limit. By putting ores in, I mean giving a good reason for people to revisit the island later on, after they finished the quest (like Crandor in Dragon Slayer)

xwarrior173
the quest is too short for that many rewards still in my opinion. And bones should NOT be 400xp for F2P at all. If its just a 1 time bone that you can get, sure why not, but not when you can continuously get em again. Not even dragon bones are buried for 400xp. If its gonna be 400xp per bone then I'd say make em nearly impossible to kill.

Nenga
The only objection I have are the bones giving 400 exp each, it seems a little overpowered. Besides that there no harm in supporting this. Ponies!
Dracion1
400xp?! Even dragon bones don't give that much! I would support if you changed the amount to about 30xp (but you can leave the original bones awarded at 400xp+). Might want to make it so it's only 1 quest point (therefore rounding it off at 40, and yes I have read Hhgttg), but otherwise it's a well thought out quest. I4prez
Argh.... The "Blessed Dark Kanoo Bones" are a one-time item, and the "Dark Kanoo Bones" give the same xp as normal bones. There. I said it. Now please don't have a fit because there are bones that give 400xp. http://forum.tip.it/topic/173173-engineer-skill-and-railroads/<<Click! I support!
