I am pretty sure runescript is also a form of scripting languages that Jagex uses. I remember reading they made their own scripting language inside of Java for better use of the game engine.

Andrew still has the yes/no, all the Head does is make sure the content team and such are doing their job and he brainstorms new ideas.

 

 

 

Basically there will be no difference in-game by who is Head of RS.

 

There's been 4 (i think) already and nobody could tell the difference.

I hope it's an internal promotion; yet i doubt it will be.

 

I can see it being quite good, but they're looking for a new head. I hope he wont be looking at just figures and money.

 

It would be nice if he cared for gameplay too!

I guess the head gonna have to see all the financial and the merchadize. Maybe gower had enough with both improving RuneScript and managing all that too.

I wrote that. Quests are written in RuneScript, as are NPC and other interactions. Hence only the technologies (tools/engine) department need to be Java-savvy.

I think that a new head wouldn't make a big difference. He's probably going to have power but not too much. I don't think he can go and do whatever he wants. In my opinion this new "head" is just an over looker who isn't allowed to make a decision like "Bring wildy back". I doubt he is going to be a player. I bet we'll barely see a change in the updates.

Or maybe this new head of Runescape isn't going to replace Gower, but instead run a new wing of Jagex, maybe a new um office like thing in America (Yea i dont care if they aren't allowed to do that or whatever, its just a possibility)
