July 15, 200817 yr ------------------------------------- CONTENTS Intro Hat Chronology Checklist Gear ------------------------------------- This task would not be possible without the masterful guidance of the Tip.It Chompy Hunting Guide. Hey all, this is my first ever blog. I'm proud of all the quests I've completed, although it's not all of them, I still have 245+ quest points. All these quests mean I can do things and get stuff that most of my friends can't. I don't like having run of the mill, bog standard items. I'm not bothered about pricey stuff, but I like it when someone asks why I have a fishbowl on my head, or where I got that giant wieldable spatula. So this leads me to the subject of this blog. Attack Chompy bird (level-6) / 2 more options I was looking for something to do on RuneScape, and nothing really stood out. I looked on the Tip.It Mini-Games Page, and the Chompy Hunting Guide looked interesting. Those 4k golden hats are pretty rare, I want one. I thought to myself, and I don't recall ever seeing one ingame. So my end of task aim is to achieve the Expert Dragon Archer Chompy hat, at 4000 Chompy kills. ------------------------------------- My last hat was: [hide=Clicky] Ogre Forester 300+ chompy kills[/hide] My current hat is: [hide=Clicky] Forester 400+ chompy kills[/hide] My future hat will be: [hide=Clicky] Ogre Bowmaster 550+ chompy kills[/hide] ------------------------------------- [hide=Chompy Hat Checklist]Green = achieved red = not achieved 30 Kills 40 Kills 50 Kills 70 Kills 95 Kills 125 Kills 170 Kills 225 Kills 300 Kills 400 Kills 550 Kills 700 Kills 1000 Kills 1300 Kills 1700 Kills 2250 Kills 3000 Kills 4000 Kills [/hide] ------------------------------------- What I take [hide=Pryo's Gear][/hide] If you have any suggestions on what else to take/leave behind, I'm open to it. ------------------------------------- Thanks everyone! I'll update this every so often and when I get a new hat. Going for 4000 kills. Pryomancer. All images used in this guide, excluding the banner and gear images, are taken from the Tip.It guide here. July 15, 200817 yr Best of luck. :) Are Ogre bow/arrows necessary for getting kills recorded when hunting Chompys, or do you just prefer it? "Football is a simple game made complicated by people who should know better."

July 15, 200817 yr Author You need an Ogre Bow/Ogre Composite bow, with either Ogre arrows or brutal arrows. I'm pretty sure nothing else works. Thanks for your support. :D

July 16, 200817 yr It seems like just the other day I was thinking about way back when you would see the occassional Chompy Hat clad ranger running around, and how since my return to Runescape 3 months ago I've yet to see one  Way to throw out an old school goal  I support this 100% and I'll probably be checkin up on ya often... July 17, 200817 yr You make me tempted to try hunting those birds. It looks like fun. But I am already busy with working on getting a rather popular and awesome green cape! You can probably work out which one I am talking about. Good luck, mister Pryomancer! Have fun hunting those cute looking beasts.
July 22, 200817 yr Good luck with getting all your kills; I'm going for the same goal right now also. You could stay with ogre arrows, but brutal arrows might help you more. The amount you have might be too little, you might need to make some more in the future. How many bellows are you using? Edit: I'm at the same point you are, I have 500 kills. Feel free to add me / pm me in game :
