July 17, 200817 yr Zamorak is best becasue it is the only shield with +range attack, and +all attacks. Buy them on the g.e, the prices for junk trades are rediculus atm. Want to be my friend? July 17, 200817 yr Zamorak is the best. There are shields with better def than sara, but nothing with better ranged attack than Zammy. There's no point in Guthix- it's just a watered down version of both books. Either you want def or you want attack- usually attack, since the books are for praying. July 17, 200817 yr It depends on what the player wants. - If you want a balanced stat boost, ie same stats for attack and defence, get Guthix; - If you want stat boost to go all attack, get Zamorak; - If you want stat boost to go all defence, get Saradomin

July 17, 200817 yr Zamorak: +8 in al attack styles Guthix: +4 in all defence and attack styles Saradomin: +8 in all defence styles As you see, zamorak would be your best choice if you can afford it (pages are selling for 1m on rsof:S)

July 17, 200817 yr I paid a little less than 200k combined for the 4 Guthix pages, which seemed pretty expensive compared to the 2k broodoo shield I had been using for the magic and prayer bonuses. But I needed something to use with a crossbow, and there's really not any kind of variety at all for range bonus offhand items, so I bit the bullet. I might eventually get a Zamorak book, but only when my skills are so high that spending a couple million gp (or whatever a Zamorak book costs then) won't buy me any useful skill improvements. For now, my gp does me a lot more good spent on skills instead of an extra +4 range bonus (compared to the Guthix book), or +5 magic bonus (compared to the broodoo shield).

Granted, +4 bonuses on either side won't help much, but look at a berserker ring: it gvie +2 strength bonus and it's over 2 mill atm :shock: .
July 31, 200817 yr zamorak if u can afford it, useful if u want to use with ur prayer boasting gear. thats the only use the prayer book has. if u are going to use protect form prayer u wont need any def bonuse from sara or guthix book.

It also almost beats all of zamorak stats, but.....No range or magic bonuses. The only purpose of getting a book would be zamorak ,if you don't have a defender, would be for range or magic. I suggest just getting a rune defender. The zamorak pages are so hard to get, and i mean a month to half a year, even at the forums, people clammer and offer outrageous offers for them.

Rune def stats: +20 stab +19 slash +18 crush -3 magic -2 range This applies for both attack and defense values. Zamorak is maging/ranging book, saradomin and guthix are for abyss and for maging fights
