Another rant about BH and in-game idiots..

I just went to BH, just to notice (once again) that it is total [cabbage]. Both the game and the players.

 

 

 

First, let's take the players. I step in there, and teleport to my target. I start fighting my target, and immediatly got attacked by someone who had me as their target. Well, that's ok, that's the way this game works. But, the one who had me as their target was a friend of my target, and there was some more of his friends, and they all started to flame me as a nerd and a noob. Sheesh, people, don't you have anything nice to say to other people, ffs? Is all you can say with your massive intelligence level is "OMG", "nerd" and "noob"??

 

 

 

Then. "DEF NOOB!", "PRAYER NOOB!" and "SAFER N00B!!!!11". These three things are another thing that are horribly annoying and nearly unavoidable in Bounty Hunter. What's noob in having a high defence? It helps you avoid damage, thus lets you survive more easily! What's wrong with prayer? It also reduces the amount of damage you recieve and helps you survive! What's wrong with eating food? It keeps you alive! They all make you harder to kill, and that's why these three things are noob? Sheesh.

 

 

 

Also, it enrages me that you can be multi-attacked in Bounty Hunter. Yes, I know that it is the way the game works, and it would be stupid without it, and Jagex can add anything they want to the game and do anything they want with the game, but still, I would like to see either Bounty Hunter or another dangerous minigame with ONLY, ONLY and ONLY single combat.

 

 

 

Sorry if my rant sounds stupid. I'm just so furious because of these stupid things that occur in game. I might even regret adding this topic here, but it's the only way to let all my frustration go away.

 

 

 

And once again, don't leave stupid comments or flaming. Especially don't leave the classic "then don't play the game" comment, because that's what I will do - I 100% surely won't play Bounty Hunter anymore. I stick with Fist of Guthix, in my opinion it has loads more sense than Bounty Hunter, and has less idiots screaming "def/pray/safe/run noob".

I don't. I didn't even pk and I have still been called every type of noob in the book (my stats were similar to my current ones, and I got called a str noob :shock: ), some people even made up new ones by bashing their fist in anger on the keyboard then hitting enter. Sometimes people just yell jiberish or act their so inebriated I wonder if they could find the bathroom to take a piss if their life depended on it.

 

 

 

Not that being called a noob insults me directly or anything. I mean, im the legal gambling age in Canada so I can take more substatial insults than noob. My issue is that I am offended to be a part of the same speciaes as some of the people who pk. Now some of them are truly amazing. Back in 2005, I was mining coal in the skelly mine in the wild. A pk'er comes along, finds me and sees I am being attacked by skellys so I am safe from him. He stood there while I finished my mining knowing I couldn't log, even gave me fair warning "you I am going to kill you", and I responded "and you know I must do everything I can to live". He responded that he expected nothing different, and when I finished mining he bowed and we engaged in combat. I had some food and a rune pick, so it was not long before I had to run back to edgeville. He never insulted me, pm'ed me, or anything. He just wen't back into the wild to find new prey.

I completely agree with you. there is nothing wrong with have high def(or other skills), there's nothing wrong with using prayer, and nothing wrong with eating. wtf? how do you call somebody a noob if they are beating you??!! :?

That's why they pester people: it's because they're being beaten. If i defeated someone that called me a noob for having high defence, using prayer or eating at like 30hp, i would laught on their face.

 

attack, strength, defence...they are combat skills you can use for your own advantage. Those idiots are just too stubborn to realise it.

I really hate bounty hunter too, and at certain times of the day the med crater in non-members is packed. You've to spam click like 1000 times to get in. Once you're in you get attacked by level 90ers, I'm only 66 and pure. They just attack everything that's green for them, even if I'm having a good fight with some other level 60ish player they're waiting to tagg. When you don't attack your opponent back or when they don't attack you back because they're eating they just jump you. It's really sad, and I just can't keep my mouth shut anymore, I call them noob and all kinds of bad things. Well some of them... They just make a sport of it to scare me away and to make me waste 30 seconds of my life again to wait before I can enter again or just to make me go back through the hell of clicking a zillion times. I just can't stand people that make fun while killing it for others, it just makes me really mad. If you've fun doing this, then you're nothing but a idiot.

I personally haven't tried Bounty hunter mid crater but from what I've been hearing it sounds bad.

I agree with you. And RWT is easy even with BH. You just log in at 3AM when all the 8 year olds go to bed and have a high level stand there and guard you while you do the trade.

Well, like you requested, I will correct you. I teled to this group of friends, and attacked my target. One of the players had me as his target, he attacked me. I slapped on prayer (I would have slapped it on anyways, I always use prayers (YES, even in 1v1) to gain even a bit more advantage over my opponent), ate when I felt that I'm moving quite close to death (yes, sometimes even at 30-40hp, it's better to eat there than wait until you get down to 5hp, get hitted 5 and then start smashing that picture of food), and during the whole time I got flamed and called Prayer, Safer and (when I retreated from the situation because I knew it's impossible for me to win) Runner noob/nerd. I didn't cry at all, everything I ever say in BH is a simple "No, I am not" when someone calls me Prayer/Def/Safer/Runner noob or just simply noob. I hope this corrected your understanding of what happened. I would also like to see your opinion on this kind of things.

I think you're not the one crying, i think those bounty hunter noobs are. And if your combat skills help you survive and get kills then of course you can use them.

 

It is common sense when going into a fight to bring in the best items you are willing to lose. To use every skill you have to your advantage. It is just plain common sense.

It baffles me just how upset people get about pixelated characters 'insulting them'... You made a decision to get whatever levels you have and what technique you choose to use when in BH - you ought to stick by this decision.

 

 

 

If you have faith in your decision, you should be laughing at them for not doing the same, not ranting about it.
