biggest glitch ever!!!

i just noticed this! so im sitting here ranging greats under the ogre compound and it hits me. the bow im using is in the wrong had. i swing a sword with the right hand, right?(yes) so, logically, i would draw the bow string with the right hand. ha ha i caught something that jagex let by. i figured the makers of a magic and sword game would be framiliar with a bow, lol. i guess not.

I'm right handed and I'd use my right hand to hold the bow. It doesn't matter how you hold it to, since if you're pulling the string the force goes in both directions <--> like that. So what really matters is that you hold the front piece of the bow with your most steady hand for aiming.

seriously though the bow is in the wrong hand for a person who swings a sword in the right hand. grab your recurve out of the basement hold it and equip a mage short on rs. wrong hand. anyone who has a nice bow knows there is left and right handed bows, and like baseball gloves for right handed people u hold in left hand. u can switch it up and do like they do on rs but only with dollar store bows and its not a natural posture.

Once again, I'm completely right-handed. I fence with my right hand (sword). I shoot with my left. Big deal. There's really no "right" or "wrong" on this subject. Just because you do it differently doesn't mean it's wrong. :|

This is actually not a glitch and has been around since the beginning of RS.

 

The reason is:

 

 

 

If you're wielding a weapon in RS, you'll always wield it in the right hand, and since bows are not shot while both hands are

 

on the weapon, unlike melee weapons, the attack animation must include the shield hand for drawing back the bow. The bow

 

simply cannot be held in the shield hand. That's why when you're just wielding a bow and not using it, it's held in the right (weapon) hand,

 

and the attack animation has to go in conjunction:

 

bow in the right hand, draw back with the left.

Well, it wouldn't make any sense if you held a bow in the shield slot would it? A bow is a weapon and a weapon goes in the weapon slot. It's only logical. I noticed this the first day I started. That's the conclusion I came to then, and it's the conclusion I'm telling you now.

Erm...With an M16 the hand in front is the one you don't use for writing.And I've done some archery,its near impossible to aim properly with your weaker hand behind.I still got bullseye,but still,it was hard.

 

 

 

Left hand is mainly for stability,and right hand for the strength...So its correct.
