(Amazing to me played when I was 11 or so and can't believe I didn't get in trouble) Also sorry to here about this lame player mod wannabes, its pathetic, the crown would be nice but I'm not going to report people talking in a clan chat or something, that stuff is private and IMHO have the ability to toggle censor on or off. And yes, i'll admit blogscape/chat/world has been steadily been going down hill. I miss back when we had only like 10 regulars, no spammers, and everyone trusted everyone else. I personally think blogworld should require being on the friendslist to get in. That way crap like this won't happen. I hope you have a better time outside of RS. Of course, I'll take this chance to warn all clan chat users that saying things in a public clan chat is no different from saying it to the public chat. Sorry for your loss, Lep. Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(. And wow, clean for 5 years? And you get banned because of some little crap like that? What the hell.. I've said much much worse thing than that. I don't really see any reason to get banned, perhaps a black mark or two (since you said you deserved a couple).. But damn. I know player mods and talked about all sorts of things with them and i've never had any trouble... Maybe i'm just lucky in RS lol. If you know some RS "friend" that you could ask on msn or something like that, to ask a player-mod to see if she/he could do anything. Still, this happens everyday in all major clan chats. And yes, I do it myself, too, because it was done to me earlier. Got 0.1 blackmarks and one day mute for "What's the cheatcode for championscrolls again?" People have all right to report others even for the smallest of "abuses". You have agreed to follow the rs code of conduct. Others should learn not to mess with Jagex, even if the offense is a part of a normal discussion or a (bad) joke. Just a few things to those who mentioned that: You have only heard one side of the story, so please don't go on a witch hunt to find out who reported who (in this case and others). In many cases it's not regulars, but people from the outside who take pleasure in reporting people in popular clan chats. That means you're not reported by friends, but by strangers who have nothing better to do. Like it or not, but it's a part of the game and unfortunately it happens in all clan chats, so you have to think twice before you hit enter. Mercifull Posted July 23, 2008 Share Posted July 23, 2008 When I posted on the RS forums about some issues with black marks on my character which were not done by me they kindly removed them and while they are still showing on record in the account panel page thingy I am in the green zone :) Calm down and try to speak to a moderator about it. it can be VERY frustrating to get hold of Jagex sometimes, I had an account recovery from when someone took control of my character and the person swore and advertised websites so i got black marks. Despite Jagex acknowledging that someone else stole my character (by way of account recovery) they still claimed to have evidence that I was "in control" of my character at the time of the abuse report. This was rubbish and while my appeal was initially denied I posted on the forums to ask for help and eventually a moderator got back to me and sorted the issue. This difference here however is that I didnt actually break the rules myself in my case. Its all very well saying about the rule breaking for real world information etc (which is a stupid thing to report for) but you have over 10 black marks. If you read my post two posts above yours, you will see that it happens in all popular clan chats.
