I'd just like to know other peoples feelings for the word "noob"...

It should never be used. Imo, if you can't come up with a good insult, don't bother throwing out "noob" or some stupid variation of it. A little originality in an arguement can really make it more fun. Toss in "noob" and it's just the same old thing #-o

Yeah, castle wars used to be horrible for me as a level 83. Then again, I had no clue what I was doing, and nowadays I can't stand those people that destroy your carefully placed barricades because they "need to get through". Sometimes I really wish we could attack our teammates... I've found that the higher level I get, the less I get called noob. Obviously there are still the jerks that will insult you no matter what, but I've found that summoning a geyser titan and wielding a godsword at level 132 seems to discourage the "noob" comments. I really don't get bothered by insults, I just turn "infuriatingly logical", and counter their every insult with the most complicated phrases I can manage without getting killed by my horrible spelling. Its actually kind of fun for me. Still, the only times I see fit to use the word noob is in a "retort" i.e. when someone calls you, say, a "defence noob". Just reply with "strength noob" or "armor noob" or "weapon noob". It doesn't help much, but its interesting to see their reactions. Thankfully those calling me "x noob" are low enough level to be taken out in a few hits... or farcasted and prayed against if I'm in a noob extermination mood (The main reason I bring ancients to fight pits...). I find that very satisfying, however juvenile it sounds. I figure its an online game, a chance to escape from the pressures of everday life, not to take every insult you hear personally.

I hope I taught you all a lesson about which type of people have a criteria for noob-calling.

97% of the time I say it jokingly to friends.

 

The rest at Fight pits or on Arcanists, sarcastically when someone else calls me one, shortly before being destroyed by my ownage skills.

Anyone who can not think up a better insult that noob really needs to get out more. I mean, why noob. It must be the most pathetic word ever. Runescapers need to get some creativity, or stop insulting each other.

Whoever calls you a noob, call them a noob too... after you've owned them with some good arguments. Tends to annoy them to the extreme.

Only joking by the way...noob is just a random, over-used word. Like the F word.

I mainly use "newb" as it can be portrayed easily as a playful term.

 

 

 

But yeah, I get called a noob constantly by AGS fans because I own the "rival" godsword.

 

 

 

I've owned an Armadyl godsword before the item lending update, so I can't be called a jealous noob.

I usually only use it when I get mad at the game and call like a random event a noob.. lol i know stupid... and i also call myself a noob sometimes when I cant do something like when Im training agility and I keep failing! lol \
