Adventure Quest (fully Flash-animated RPG)

Urgh. I played AQ for a while, but I really never liked it. It was one of my least favourite games of all time.It might be good for a flash-animated RPG, but I hated the turn-based action and the just generally crappy combat.

Yes, I used to play it before I knew about other online free games. It actually led me to runescape.

I started to play it once, but after about 5 minutes, I went back to Runescape and never looked back...

 

 

 

 

 

Until I quit RS..then I considered it for a few minutes but went to go play a console game instead and forgot the idea entirely.

Sorry, but I hated it. For some reason, I liked disliked every single aspect of it, mainly the fighting.

And if you want better fighting system than Adventure Quest, RuneScape is not the answer :? Try Diablo 3 when it comes out, or Gothic 3, those are games with real fighting system... not AQ or RS....

Most people here don't play Runescape anymore. And, the combat system in that is just pick spell to cast, cast, get attacked, attack. Runescape has a tiny bit more variety than that. And, hell. Most MMO's use that system.

But, about your build, post sweep, you'll need to change, or you'll get mauled with 0 END.

 

 

 

Oh and Langzor, the combat is no longer Mage heavy, its alot harder now that 1.7k MP doesn't go that far (well, except with some of the Z-token Classics, but its now 10k Tokens for them, I got my Darksplatter when it was 1k)

 

 

 

Besides, I'd like to see some people take down some of the Bosses and such in it when they are used to most click and heal.

First off, don't ever recomend a ps3 to anyone....ever. Power it has, games that are awesome and exclusive, about 2 or 3.

 

Secondly, in my opinion, people who need good graphics to think a game is good need to shove face in a blender. Graphics are never a good argument for proving a game sucks. It just proves how superficial society has gotten.

 

Lastly, at least he isn't playing maple story.

What's Maple story like anyway? Is it turn based like Adventure Quest? I heard alot of things about it, but I never went to play it...

 

 

 

I also heard that it somehow revolves around advertising "unlike AQ" but AQ has alot of advertising-based things too. :\

wow I haven't played that since I spent the week at my cousins house 2 years ago. We shared the account and got his dad to buy membership. I think he's still been on it cause I'm like a level 77 now xD

I think I got to level 70ish...then I quit playing because I found RuneScape. Not entirely sure though how I quit, I think I also lost my password as well, lol.

 

 

 

It was fun for awhile, always new stories every two weeks and such, but it doesn't compete with MMO'S + RPGS. =P

You don't know anything about the Ps3.

 

 

 

Ps3s are better than the 360 in my opinion. And other's aswell.

 

 

 

Heres some advantages:

 

 

 

Memory Space. Yeah, 40gb mostly, however, can use normal harddrives, so like £30 for 160gb here.

 

 

 

No RROD, okay true, mine did mess up after 7 weeks, however, I got it replaced, and no problems since.

 

 

 

Can play games of previous systems (Ps1, Ps2 for 60GB, Ps1 for 40GB). Some people (I included) don't want to drag out their old console to play games (plus theres the issue with memory cards aswell). Can the 360 do that? I heard that it can't.

 

 

 

BLu- Ray player. As I've heard, alot of major companies are going towards Blu-Ray instead of HD-DvD.

 

 

 

Built in wireless. WHO THE [bleep] WANTS TO PAY (around) £49.99 FOR A WIRELESS ADAPTER(sp?)

I agree with the top part. (Really, it wouldn't have happened if someone hadn't (basically) attacked the Ps3.

 

 

 

Anyway, there is some interaction with other players, though just with Wars (even then, its just a counter).

 

 

 

While there is some more Player interaction in another of AE's games (DragonFable's party system for (some) battles, though its still you controlling them.)

 

 

 

Hopefully, their new MMO AQWorlds, will provide some good gameplay.

the graphics stink, the puns suck, and they expect you to pay for the little bonus you can get for the game( unlike runescape. Just look at the godswords, then compare to the guardian sword :lol: ).

But I think a 1 time payment is better. Not to mention some of the best spells are Guardian only. Some good war rares are guardian only. Two of the best 0 CHA pets are guardian only (Ultra-weres).

 

 

 

And for X-Guardians, theres the 10% exp bonus. I'll level 10% faster than any Guardian or Adventurer(sp?).

 

 

 

So AE are giving a better deal (not to mention some Z-tokens when you upgrade), and believe it or not, actually care for the free players. The majority of updates will give more to free players, infact in all my time as a guardian, I've rarely (if at all) seen a Guardian only update.

 

 

 

So, as a company, AE care more for their players, rather than the money.

 

 

 

Oh and besides, the Guardian Blade has an extremely helpful special (Guardian Dragon) when compared to the Godswords. And the upgrade, (The of Awe series) has some good specials, (HP and MP healing, 3 hit attack, Guardian Dragon, a 1 hit special that does good damge, and of course, the ultimate Power Word Die (rare, but kills almost everything)).

 

 

 

And considering that they are fairly easy to get when compared to your precious godswords, I think the Guardian Blade and of Awe series wins overall.

Well, that IS part of the problem. You get Guardian, bam. Everything(literally!) in AQ belongs to you. By paying $19(isn't it?) You get a powerful sword that basically just pwnz0rs everything. I dunno if that is a challenge at all, but if you're not complaining then meh.

 

I'm not trying to slam you for anything, i just wanted to raise my points. I like peace. :P
