It surprises me, sometimes, that we never had an out and out nazi on this board. The most radical right wing belief it feels like we had was muggi's PUA nonsense, which, as far as things go, is pretty good.

As someone who's never followed politics and has never voted, I have no clue how you came to associate my perspective on dating with radical right wing beliefs.
Not yours in particular, I suppose, but all the PUA figure heads I knew about turned into regressive political youtubers, so.

And, I guess, in further fairness to you, that list might be a singleton containing Roosh V, but in fairness to me, a lot of PUA stuff is supremely sexist.

Ultimately I guess I'm just saying it could have been a lot worse on the forum.

These days I don't really associate myself with any kind of PUA/Manosphere/Red Pill stuff. When I was younger, I gave those communities the benefit of the doubt because I felt that their hearts were in the right place by encouraging men to become better versions of themselves. But now that I'm content with my level of success, I've had enough experiences to disprove a lot of their dogma and I no longer find it helpful to entertain their ideas. Not to mention a lot of their ideas are unfalsifiable and/or have been debunked as pseudoscience.

In other words: they're right about many things (e.g. take responsibility for your life, go to the gym and develop healthy habits, etc.), but the things they're right about can be found elsewhere surrounded by less toxic ideologies; and the things that are unique to those communities are too misogynistic and pseudoscientific for my taste (e.g. the idea of alpha males and beta males; the idea that all women think/feel the same way about certain things).

That being said, I apologize if I've said things to you in the past that came across as insensitive or hostile. That was not my intention and I hope we can let bygones be bygones.

I think I'm done editing this post now :P

That is heartening to read, and I agree with everything you've posted here, especially the "some good points, but there are much better vehicles" part.

Idk that we'll ever see see eye to eye on, as Ring described it, "radical personal responsibility", but I'm glad to hear where you've ended up, at least.

Well, I mean, cis does have a higher boiling point than trans:

https://www.differencebetween.com/difference-between-cis-and-vs-trans-isomers/

*rimshot*

But seriously...the Wigstock documentaries I mentioned earlier featured trans performers, as well as "cis gay men" as drag queens. I'm pretty sure Blondie was also at one of the Wigstocks o.O Also, Rupaul's Drag Race has had transgender contestants, most notably Carmen Carrera.

What are your thoughts on drag kings? Do you think there should be more representation for them as performers in media?

TODAY I want to mention this gawd-awful remake of my favorite film of all time, the Rocky Horror Picture Show, which I only like because of Ben Vereen (as Dr. Scott) & TIM CURRY (as the Criminologist).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YkYPkO0ckdU

IMO, TIM CURRY is the best Frank, EVER. He played the role as a DUDE in the original. Dr. Frank-N-Furter is a dude, singing & dancing in women's underwear. Possibly, that is why so many gay men & straight women find TIM CURRY hot as Frank.

Laverne Cox, a transgender woman, was Dr. Frank-N-Furter in the remake. However, Laverne Cox looks like a woman, meaning she has the traditional attributes of a woman...or something like that o.O As a straight woman watching Laverne Cox as Frank, I was like, "Hmm, ok," as opposed to my "Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" when TIM CURRY was Frank.

I actually think Laverne Cox should've been cast as Magenta, Columbia...or even Janet. To me, when I see Frank, I want to see a dude, singing & dancing in women's underwear ffs lol.

HOWEVER...

When women play the role of Frank, as a dude, it works. It is more fitting for the role. For example, in this all-girl shadow cast of RHPS, a woman played the role of Frank, but played it as a dude - basically as TIM CURRY:

https://youtu.be/vH449-PiBGM?t=162

A woman...playing a man...who sings & dances in women's underwear. THIS is what the remake should've been.

lol ok. Btw, I was thinking about adding a disclaimer to my previous post, because it is just my personal preference. Laverne Cox is a beautiful woman, BUT she played the role of Frank as a woman, meaning more feminine than TIM CURRY. I think it would have been bad ass if she had been Janet in the remake instead. Side Note: Also, if someone lives their life as a woman, I consider them to be a woman, regardless of what they were born as (Idk if that is offensive to ppl or not, but w/e). Anyway, just a personal preference in regards to casting. That is all.

This is a funny scene from Life of Brian:

But since I am on a rampage TODAY, talking about random stuff, I know how some ppl like to say that transgender women are not women, but men, because they "can't have babies."

Well, neither can I. Not since my 20's. Not since having the hysterectomy, which wasn't my fault & I had no control over.

It isn't the fault of transgender women that they can't have babies. They also have no control over it.

Not being able to "have babies" doesn't make me a man, or less of a woman. If that were the case, then there's a lot of post-menopausal old ladies out there who are apparently men L.

If someone who wasn't born a woman wants to be a woman & be referred to by others as a woman, then just call her a woman.

"To do all that one is able to do, is to be a man; to do all that one would like to do, is to be a god." - Napoleon I

That whole culture thing sounds a bit social for my liking.

I lived with a woman who absolutely loved RHPS. She was shocked that I hadn't heard of it and insisted that we see it, but I was pretty indifferent. Wife knows some of the songs from band, so that's cool.

I first watched RHPS with my mom when I was around 11 or 12. Prior to that, I had seen TIM CURRY in The Worst Witch & loved him in it. The Worst Witch used to air on tv each Halloween, from the time it came out in the '80s - idk why it still doesn't! In the '80s, I taped TIM CURRY singing his "Anything Can Happen on Halloween" song by holding my 2-tape boombox up to the tv. I would listen to that song all year 'round.

Oh, TRUST ME, I was not indifferent to RHPS. The first time I did watch it with my mom, I didn't know WTF was going on in the movie, but I know the moment they rolled the credits & started playing the "Science Fiction Double Feature" reprise, that it was the greatest freaking film I have ever seen in my life.

 RHPS.

BTW, this is when I took my son to a shadow cast RHPS a couple of years ago & I was yelling some callbacks (I was also holding the cam & recording):

Around this point in the vid, you can hear me whisper, "Giant Chinchompas," because it was prolly some kinda hunting lodge for GIANT CHINCHOMPAS:

Why was your head swimming? o.O

#RemoveSilverhawkBootsFromRS #RSOF

(I was going to ask "How's your head?" but that is more of an Elvira joke)

ANYWAY,

TODAY I kinda want to watch Return to Oz. One of my brothers got that Disney+ thingy & it has that film on it. I haven't watched it in years & my son has never seen it. Btw, the same actress, Fairuza Balk, who was the Worst Witch, plays Dorothy in Return to Oz, AND she was Nancy in The Craft (I was a bit of a Fairuza Balk fan back in the '80s & '90s, if you couldn't tell lol).

Been in a dance camp the past weekend. Quite dead, not sure there's a muscle in my body that doesn't hurt. But man, I am gonna perform on a sold out show next weekend!

Love this thing.

So I've noticed this thread's regulars all follow similar trends.

RPG is constantly dealing with psycho exes.

Muggi reminds us of the joys of polygamy.

Saq is totally oblivious to how much chicks dig him.

I strike out every other week.

Kalphite wages a war against the friend zone.

Randox pretty much stays rational.

Etc, etc

I've actually never been to a dance camp. I occasionally teach at conventions. Growing up, I would take dance classes all year long.

When I was younger, I'd go to Theatre (Yes, THEATRE, and not the less spiffy "Theater") camp in the summer. And ofc, I'd go to Band camp. Theatre camp was usually the week after Band camp, so I had 2 weeks of awesomeness in the summers.

#RemoveSilverhawkBootsFromRS #RSOF

This one time at Band camp...

O, oops, I mean, Band camp was pretty fun. In addition to the music sectionals & learning the marching formations for the field shows, it was also fun in the cabins at night. The girls slept in one cabin & the boys slept in another (They weren't actual cabins, but large buildings with bunk beds. There was over 200 kids in my hs's marching band).

In the girls' cabin at night, we'd tell ghost stories, talk about the usual gossip, and if we were feeling risque, we'd put toothpaste in the hands of the girls who had fallen asleep.

Meanwhile, in the boys' cabin...they were trying to choke each other tf out. Seriously. The boys were strangling each other against the walls until they passed out.

I found out about this because the band director held a special meeting with all the band kids & reprimanded the boys in front of everyone for them choking each other. lol WTF.

So TODAY (technically yesterday) my family wound up watching Office Space on tv, which I've seen many times, instead of Return to Oz. We may watch Return to Oz later on in the week, or even today, idk. I'd also like to watch Sword in the Stone, since that is another good movie I haven't seen in years.

#RemoveSilverhawkBootsFromRS #RSOF

My mom used to tell ppl that I would never get married because I would never allow a man to tell me what to do.

She was absolutely right.

#RemoveSilverhawkBootsFromRS #RSOF

EDIT: Men are NOT going to tell me WTF to do.

Eff 'em.

I don't.

Now let me explain something to noobs:

The type of hysterectomy I had to have was basically a form of female castration.

I'm kind of like the female version of Varys from GoT - I just want to sit here & talk smack about everyone, but ppl better gtfo because I'm not banging anyone.

FEMALE VARYS.

SUPPORT.

Bring back banner ads and get MTX tf out of RS.

EDIT: I am also curious about how much time those opposing banner ads have actually spent in f2p. I've spent a significant amount of time in f2p and I remember when f2p had banner ads at the top of the GAME.  It never bothered me one bit. I support both banner ads ingame & on forums.
