March 7, 20215 yr My goodness, how time flies eh? I don't know how much people use the forums anymore. I was looking through my old screen shots of RS and saw some people I recognized and TIF hit me like a ton of bricks. You all might remember Albel_8492ed, name later changed to just Albel. I would post on that account, but I do not remember the password, and there is far as I can tell, no email associated with it, least I can remember. My original runescape name was Haseo_8492ed. I went by Seaoh for a while, but then got the name Albel in 2014. To anyone who remembers me and spoke to me, quoted me in the forum games, or gave me grief in my blog back in the day...Thank you. Life has been very good to me these past few years (my last post was in 2018, but the last time I was "active" was in 2015) and it's good to remember the good times. I cannot stress how much this site, and the game of runescape meant to me as a young kid and adult. So much has changed: I went to college, twice, and dropped out both times with programs opposite to them...music education, and then electrical engineering. I got engaged in 2014, and then left that relationship due to abuse in 2016. I met my now wife shortly afterwards! We were married on 09/28/2019. My type one diabetes is in much better control. I could drop a few pounds, but all and all very healthy in body. I have a very successful career in banking, primarily working for customers who have major concerns, and trying to resolve them; a case manager. My wife and I bought a house, we have 3 dogs and 3 cats in the family. No plans for children. I became a huge board game nerd. My wife and I now own over 120 board games!! I am proud to say, that I can finally feel like that I "made it" in life. I'm turning 30 this year, but for the first since moving out when I was 23, I feel stable. This game, that has been my entire childhood and young, and now adult hood...is still my game of choice. I have met so many wonderful and amazing people in this game. Because of this game, I got into technology, which has allowed me to be successful in a lot of my life. It also taught me how to communicate with people online, and also in person. It taught me to set small goals, and to realize that rarely is stuff easy....you have to work for it and care deeply to get the most out of it. I don't really know why I am posting this. Maybe it's to remind myself of all the memories I have of this game and community. This was the game I put the most amount of time in...by far like not even close. 15 years in August and I am not slowing down. To anyone who spoke to me and cheered me on and encouraged me, thank you. I grew up with this game and community, and it means the absolute world to have met such amazing people. If anyone, would like to hit me up irl, shoot me a message. I'd love to catch up. Please, take care of yourself, stay safe, and most of all, have fun.
