Featured Replies

Well, it was a good, competitive tournament, and a long one at that. Please congratulate our winners 2Mighty and our runner up The Unknown Bounty Hunters.

I would like to say thanks to the 17 clans that participated and made this event successful. We hope to see you guys in future tournaments.

To make sure future events are successful, we would like to know what we can do better and what we should continue to do in future tournaments. So please be sure to add those in your posts.

Keep your eye on the CD board for our next tournament, the Tournament of Champions. The tournaments start will come soon after the new clan war changes so that clans will have time to settle with the updates. We also want to make sure the rules are in line with the updates.

I wouldn't say this tourney was competitive. More than half the fights were clear miss matches. There was a lot of one clan outnumbers/outleveling the other. We should try to copy the CWPL model structure for the next tourney.

Looking at the clans in the tournament I think there really were only a couple with a legit shot at winning/advancing far, so I agree that that is something that should be addressed for next time. I think the CWPL became more or less of a fiasco as it progressed, though, with its officials going inactive towards the back end of it and so many clans opting to drop out. Granted, it's not a fact that a tip.it version would go the same exact way, and there are fairly distinct strata amongst tip.it clans in which they could be classified; however, I don't know how it can be effectively emulated while simultaneously making it run more smoothly than the original.

I'd personally be in favor of individual tournaments based on levels, as they don't require nearly as much effort from clan leaders & tourney officials to organize and are much more cut-and-dry. Plus, clans would be able to choose their own categories, rather than have divisions assigned to them, and clans with a diverse assortment of levels could compete in multiple tournaments.

You'll see that our next tournament will address that issue. We are not going to copy the CWPL though.

For following tournaments, please, don't schedule them during holidays.

Grats 2M, well deserved.

The next tournament was one of my own design so I'm going to give away as much information as I can without ruining it for everyone. Essentially I have tried to make it so that the final results from the tournament are as accurate as possible, and as such the format will be different to this one. I am doing my best to ensure that there will be a form of losers bracket, but having said that the absolute worst will not be involved in it. I have estimated that if you get through to the final, you will fight 7 matches; less or more depending on the amount of entrants.

Now what the hell are you waitin' for? After me, there shall be no more, so for one last time, make some noise.

I can assure you that there will be a form of losers bracket

You really can't guarantee that.

Edited :)
