Barrows for pures?

Hi, I'd like to do some barrows on my pure, but I don't know how to deal with Karil. So I'm wondering if anyone could give some advice...

 

 

 

My stats are:

 

 

 

60 attack

 

77 strength

 

2 defence :wall:

 

11 prayer

 

92 magic

 

92 ranged

 

82 hitpoints

 

 

 

combat: 67

 

 

 

I was thinking about using ancient magic on the melee brothers, I can barrage them, with pot. Now Karil is the only problem since he has good magic defence and uses a ranged attack. Most people recommend melee to kill him, just use some dragon dagger specials on him, but my friend with 81 attack even hits 0s on him (with super attack). I only have 60 attack, so I wonder should I just range him till death?

 

Also I'm not doing this for the money, just like 2-3 runs every once in a while, maybe I'll get lucky but actually it's just for fun, and doing something different. Also any other advice would be welcome.

I think you will need 40 (or was it 37?) pray for range pray, because karil will hit ALOT and FAST.

 

 

 

Or i think you can just skip him and go straight to tunnels, and while your looting the chest, he will appear but you can tele right away. Thought im not sure what skipping karil could do to your chances of getting an item

Not a very good idea to do it with 2 defence and 11 prayer, you'll get ripped apart by karil. And really ripped apart. Like 18-16-20-14-12, very fast. If you get him in the tunnels you're screwed.

 

 

 

Just mage him, magic doesn't splash a lot as he still has a horrible mage level.

I find mage best on Karil. People say use melee but i kill him faster with magic...

 

He will hit hard and fast like people say, and you have low defence and prayer - i would suggest poisoning him with an ancients spell or a few dds specials, then finish him off with blood blitz since it will hit hard plus you will need less food.

For higher leveled attack/strength melee is obviously better, but magic easily slains him.

i can only think of 2 methods

 

 

 

1. may not work

 

dds him run around the tomb/poison will do its damage/but he might go back into his coffin

 

 

 

2.cannon/ ive never seen or attempted to bring a cannon to barrows ever

 

 

 

3.just skip karil his armor isnt worth it really

i use to use a cannon, it worked quite well on all the barrow brother but i use to find karil a pain to kill with a cannon...but all you have to do is set it up, fill it to the brim with cannonballs and fire it, then search the coffin and run to the opposite side of the cannon and pray the cannon will kill him before it runs out of cannonballs.

Killing all 6 brothers increases the chance of getting an item from the chest.

Don't do barrows at all. By the time you waste money on ancients, all the food/sara brews, and super restores there will be no gain from a chest reward at all.

Do barrows with iban blast or guthix claws + charge I did it like that when i was 1 def.
