What the heck does HYT mean? I've seen it used a lot around Tip It, but I'm unsure if it is a clan, acronym, or anything like that. Also, who owns the Clan Chat for it?*

There was no tip it clan to begin with, only a clan chat. Even if the leader did quit, another one has appeared.

 

There's an entire sticky about this. It's an UNOFFICIAL clan chat.

Although with the current grammar it will become HUT soon. (hey, that makes more phonetical sense, if there is such a word.)

Well, just come around Forsakenmage and say HYT (Hey you Tip.iter). ;)
