green9090
Well at least I got some good math out of it. Speaking of maths: I think I know a pretty good summon method.... The point is: "scroll making" doesn't really earn anything: except for 1 scroll! Deadly Claw Talon beast 77 [image] 11.4 Three Magic attacks 6 11.7 Now that's 11.4 xp/10 scrolls.... Which adds up a lot.. The only question for this would be: how would you get talon beast scrolls? While in my (very) old summon survey (which is gone already). I really adviced for creating talon beast monsters since the ammount of talon beast charms is enormous when doing temple trecking (really I was surprised myself: but if you evade everything except this event you'll easily get 200 charms an hour: this "translates" in 200k if you have the crimson charms already!). But every single other guide (and everybody who commented on my guide) stated that talon beasts were "bad". So I really doubt there's a market for talon beast pouches. Still, if you manage to get your hands on them: 1 "inventory" would earn more than 300 xp, so if you can do 200 runs an hour you earn more than 60k xp an hour, for minimal looses! However since the market is so small it's also easily destroyed...... So don't expect too much from this method. (still from 77 onwards I'll make sure I always keep an offer for talonbeast pouches in the ge). Lol, you can't get 200 an hour. More like 20. ok that's ruled out then... (though, 3 minutes for a run to the altar and back? - that's even more slowly than runecrafting! and with a kyatt you should really be able to do it under the minute I think). He's talking about how fast you can get talon charms, not run them to the altar. He's talking about how fast you can get talon charms, not run them to the altar. well 200 is a big overexaggeration.. However if you go the easiest route with the weakest compagnon I experienced (while testing it for 2 hours) that you get 1 nail-beast-event every 2 rounds, a round taking on avarage 90 seconds, and at 5 nail beast (= 5 charms) this means 100 charms an hour. But than again, go happy mindless bashing monsters again :) (I hate all "multi attack" weaponry: sniping/focussed attacks are much more my style). But again: how fast can you run towards the altar (with the kyatt method)? First they came to fishingand I didn't speak out because I wasn't fishing Then they came to the yewsand I didn't speak out because I didn't cut yews Then they came for the oresand I didn't speak out because I didn't collect ores Then they came for meand there was no one left to speak out for me. Winner5555
I would value melee xp more than range, or at least equal. Wallaskis not even close to Waterfiends. They drop 100 Crimsons, and you gain a good profit. Maybe, but after 4.5m summoning xp from fiends, I got bored of them, and I like cannoning. Also, 67m atk xp, 25m str xp, and only 15m range xp...I could get it up a little more well 200 is a big overexaggeration.. I'll test it out later, but as of right now i've been using the easy trekkers (delcian fang and the mage) on route 2, and average about 9 nail beast charms an hour. I don't skip any events though But again: how fast can you run towards the altar (with the kyatt method)? I can use around 1.8k-2k charms with 1 kyatt if I pay attention the whole time 621st person to achieve 99 slayer on December 3rd, 2007177th person to 99 summoning on June 21st, 2008
davidium
This reminds me of a time someone claimed to have a secret and revolutionary method of training range, which turned out to be Yaks. I have no idea whether this method for summoning experience is real or indeed possible. Chances are its a plea for attention, although anyone who claims it 100% doesn't exist is just being arrogant. and it reminds of the time where someone kept bragging about a revolutionary crafting method where you got 1exp for 4gp or something like that and it turned out to be crafting yak hides which is immensely slow... maxed out melee on 10/10/08, current goal: 94/99 cookinglife may be unfair, but why can't it be unfair in my favor?my fake plant died because i forgot to pretend to water it

It was actually buying silver bars in bulk from Ardy silver stall when the 'buy unlimited' first came out. The bars were very cheap, and some people stocked up on these for the first couple of days until it was nerfed. There may well be a great summoning method the majority havent figured out - so good on the lucky few who have - they are clearly the cleverer of the crowd! I don't skip any events though You get more charms if you use the hard trekkers. Easy escorts mean you only see 3 monsters per event. Hard escorts make 5 nail beasts show up each time. If you'd been using Smiddi Ryak and the Woman-at-Arms, you'd have gotten 15 instead of 9. Chewylobster
I was thinking, That goblin place which was released (dorgesh kaan?) had those chests which gave charms but this is probably not the "revolutionary training method" but i remember someone saying they were good charms. 360 GT: hotdogstandyeah

Caxis
How badly were the chests nerfed? I'm planning on training thieving and I'd also like to get some extra charms.
green9090
How badly were the chests nerfed? I'm planning on training thieving and I'd also like to get some extra charms. Badly. Don't train thieving there. Terrible thieving exp, and you get almost no charms. The ones you do get are almost all green.
