September 10, 200817 yr I searched as hard as I possibly could, and could not find a topic for Muse, who I think are one of the top British bands of today. A brief history: They have put out four albums to date; in chronological order, they are Showbiz, Absolution, Origin of Symmetry, and Black Holes & Revelations. First released was Showbiz, put out in 1999. Next came Origin of Symmetry, released in the US in 2005. Absolution, although released as their third album, was released in 2003. Finally, Black Holes & Revelations was released in 2006. Matthew Bellamy is the unique voice of Muse, also playing guitar and piano in some songs. He is backed by Christopher Wolstenholme on bass, synthesizer, and backup vocals, and Dominic Howard on drums and percussion. Here are the music videos for my personal favorite song from each album: Showbiz-Uno[hide=] [/hide] Origin of Symmetry-New Born [hide=] [/hide] Absolution-Butterflies & Hurricanes [hide=] [/hide] Black Holes & Revelations-Assassain [hide=] [/hide] The code in my sig should say 1032 not 0132.
September 10, 200817 yr I used to listen to them quite a lot. They're a good band, but I've gone off them lately. I'd still definitely go and see them live though. I've been to see them 3 (maybe 4?) times, and each show was crazier than the last. La lune ne garde aucune rancune.
September 10, 200817 yr They're not that popular in the US. I've only heard like 2 of their songs. BR BR BR? HUEHUEHEUEHUE
September 10, 200817 yr They're not that popular in the US. I've only heard like 2 of their songs. Actually they're quite popular. Most of my high school listened to Muse. I have most of their albums. "He could climb to it, if he climbed alone, and once there he could suck on the pap of life, gulp down the incomparable milk of wonder."
September 10, 200817 yr Listened to their albums and enjoy Black Holes the most. It's one of those albums where 90% of the songs are decent and you can listen to it all the way through. My favourite song would be Knight of Cydonia. Good film clip too.
September 10, 200817 yr Aww, Muse... I love them. Listened to them a lot a while back, gone off them recently because I haven't had the cash to buy any of their albums and I've just recently gotten so pissed off at music downloading that I don't do it any more and therefore can't get any new Muse. But I do so love them. My favourite song's gotta be Plug In Baby just for the SWEET guitar line it opens with. So much fun. Being immature is a part of being mature.
September 10, 200817 yr What Lateralus said goes for me as well. Except I haven't seen them, which is a shame because I'd really like to see them. Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!
September 10, 200817 yr I find them boring like every other Britrock band (except Coldplay). Ditto My Last.FmLeekSpinner!!!Random Furry Dance!!!Proud to hate life, since not too long ago!!!
September 10, 200817 yr Muse are good. Hysteria and Supermassive Blackhole are my favourite songs. Supermassive Black Hole is SO fun to listen to. I dunno why. It's just great. Being immature is a part of being mature.
September 10, 200817 yr I don't really like the vocals, the guy sounds... whiny. KoC is a good song though
September 11, 200817 yr I haven't listened to them much recently, but they'd be top of my list of bands to see live if I could. Apparently Matt Bellamy's virtuosity and showmanship has reached such prolific heights that the audience are often reduced to stunned silence after songs before the applause starts. "Da mihi castitatem et continentam, sed noli modo"
September 13, 200817 yr Muse are amazing. They're easily one of my favorite bands. And you forgot Hullabaloo, the live album :P these are my favorites: Showbiz - Sober [hide=Sober] [/hide] Origin of Symmetry - Hyper Music [hide=Hyper Music] [/hide] Hullabaloo - The Gallery [hide=The Gallery] [/hide] Absolution - Fury (this was a b-side) and to all of you reading: don't skip this video. or at least the first 30 seconds. it's amazing. [hide=Fury] [/hide] Black Holes and Revelations - Supermassive Black Hole [hide=Supermassive Black Hole] [/hide] Yep, those are my favorites! And I can play all of them on guitar too :P Edit: WOAH. I just checked muse's youtube channel, and greenday subscribed to them. o.o
September 19, 200817 yr What a coincidence, I'm listening to Stockholm Syndrome the moment I stumble upon this thread O_o. And did Green Day really subscribe to Muse? My legions of fans:
September 20, 200817 yr my brother was in love with them like 2 years ago, he tried singing their songs, it wasnt pretty. [Admin Edit: Attempting to publicly humiliate a user in your signature is inappropriate] Quit Runescape... Dec 2001 - Jan 2008 on and off... mostly off.
September 21, 200817 yr Author I can certainly see that, Jeremy. His voice is hard to mimic. The code in my sig should say 1032 not 0132.
September 21, 200817 yr How could you are you all forget Time is Running Out and Starlight? Those are like they're two best songs. Muse is definitely and the top of my list of concerts I want to see. Right up with Coldplay. I hear they both throw outstanding concerts. :)
September 21, 200817 yr Jeez, Mac, good point. Those are two of my four and I forgot them :wall: Okay, newly revised list of top four Muse songs for me: Supermassive Black Hole Plug In Baby Time Is Running Out Starlight =P Being immature is a part of being mature.
September 21, 200817 yr Best live band on the scene...I think there incredible.Ive seen them once in manchester just after the release of black holes and revelations and it was probably the best concert ive been to. I cant wait for there next album, rumor is theres going to be some kind of 15 minute space solo with an orchestra  Top 5 muse songs: Stockholm Syndrome:Phenomenal, even better live because it develops into a 9 minute destruction song, every gig they eneded with it on they ended with a destroyed set and it still sounds magnificent. Starlight Super Massive Black Holes Knights of Cydonia Butterflies and Hurricanes. I agree there songs are pretentious, but they deserve to be and compared to coldplay, there downwright modest
