I'm aware it's what they used to do long long ago.. and to get a cat spayed.. costs money... also.. no respectable vet would offer a discount for cat spaying/neutering...

 

 

 

a better thing to do is just castrate all the male cats... but then.. you would get a lot of females complaining... :?

yea.. but if the mouse population declined because of too many cats.. then... the cats would starve.

Because giving the cats away to someone who wanted one surely isn't a more logical method of disposal.

I used to catch bugs. There wasn't any really forests or fields where I grew up so we used to look under rocks and stuff. The biggest thing we caught was like a salamander or something.

I made it my mission to hunt down all the stray cats around our neighbourhood when I was 9. I ended up killing most of them. Usually, I catch them as kittens. I would put them in a box, give it a blanket and some milk. I really thought I was doing them some good. Not all of them died though, I kept one and it became my pet for 3 years. I'm not so proud of my catching methods, however (I literally had to fight their mother with sticks to get em.)
