Cyco_Reborn
Cannibal Corpse. If you ignore the rest of the stuff, then there's quite a lot of heavy bass in it. ;) Just bass though? I find Stoner Metal uses a lot of bass, good bass at that. My Last.FmLeekSpinner!!!Random Furry Dance!!!Proud to hate life, since not too long ago!!! Just heard Goin' Down South by: North Mississippi Allstars Some great bass in that song^ EDIT: About the song above: In the version I heard, it had some serious slap bass in it, but in the live versions that I've searched on youtube, the bass it toned down. :? Intriguing
M.I.A. is pretty good for bass. Why is everyone recommending rock bands? Cool.
aquariusman
Because that's probably what the majority of users listen to. That or they are not sure whether the OP means bass as in the instrument, and bass the sound. I'm not too sure either. If it's bass the sound, then you should not be looking at rock, go for techno and hip-hop. And D&B, which I think you should ask Abelmisi about since I don't really know much about it. Also, one review claims that the bass is lacking where most bass guitars would play, the 50 mHz - 200Mhz region. There's no such thing as regret. A regret means you are unhappy with the person you are now,and if you're unhappy with the person you are, you change yourself. Thatregret will no longer be a regret, because it will help to form the new, better you. So really, a regret isn't a regret. It's experience. I want their new LP but Southern Lord is charging $17, $40 (!!) shipping on it. [bleep]. They're a bit overrated though and as a result some of their work is really [bleep]. But their collabs and splits are in a league of their own; Sunn really shine when they team up with another band. Steam | Soup | Last.fm

Abelmisi
If you are looking for some serious bass lines, try D'n'B (Drum and Bass), or other varients of electronic music. Drum and Bass is a mostly underground genre, it's music is characterized by having low basslines, and fast tempo beats. D'n'B can be divided to two sub categories, underground and mainstream. Underground is the one with the skull trashing beats and the dark feel, and mainstream is characterized with lighter patterns and heavy use of vocals. Do yourself a favor and listen to the following songs on http://www.dizzler.com (online music streamers no download required) and not youtube, the bass quality is deafening on yt. A good place to start looking for songs is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/D%27n%27b , you can read about all the D'n'b subgenres and listen to samples. The most well known D'n'b band is probably Pendulum, here are a few of their songs with nice bass: Pendulum - Slam Pendulum - Toxic Shock If you are looking for the real bass orgy, try these: Black Sun Empire - Breach Pendulum - Another Planet Oh, and get a nice set of headphones, stock earbuds won't do justice. ;) I recommend PMing LP about which headphones are good, he knows a lot about them and could give you good advice. thiesje
When I read the word "Bass", I automatically think of hardcore. Not the metal hardcore, but the electronic hardcore, it's not really well-known outside The Netherlands, but I'll give some exapmles: The Stunned Guys - Raise Cain (Into The Psychodrome) Angerfist - Raise your fist Project Omega - Prednison Attack Animum debes mutare, non caelum.
