Okay so a hour ago i logged onto my Runescape account and at first i thought i must just be imagining things, but my player was not were i left him last night. At first i thought nothing of this. I went back to the barbarian village and catch myself a few loads of fish, cook them, drop them and decided to go the the GE to see if any of my Santa's has sold. I get there and none of my Sara Plates were on the GE. Okay so now i started to panic because i really dont want to loose 50 Sara Plates. I open my bank and look for it but its not there. So now things are starting to make sence and im starting to think i have been hacked. I look at my money pile witch usually said something like: "169,234,975 *coins", witch now says : "4,876,456 *coins"

 

 

 

:lol: Okay so i guess i got hacked and got robbed of 165mil in cash. Im not worried to much because i know that it could not be transfered. The only thing that could happen is that someone dropped it, or put it in a Drop Party... Party HArd \

 

 

 

Okay well i am a bit upset over loosing 165mil, but now RS might just get a bit fun for me again. Having 170mil in F2P was a drag because i had nothing to spend it on and im not much of a skiller.

 

 

 

Now for the questions:

 

1.) Is there anything i can do to get the money back?(contacting Jagex)

 

2.) How can i turn 5mil into 50mil using my stats

 

 

 

Please not that i am F2P.

 

Oh and the hacker was atleast kind enough to leave me with a full rune set and full dhide set with 1k arrows (bronze#-o).

 

This is what i have in my bank: Green Dragonhde set, Rune Set(l), Rune scimitar, Bronze arrows 1k, 4.9mil. Nothing else

ATM im fishing till level 75 buy fly fishing and dropping all the trouts till i have atleast 24 salmon in a int. I bank it and repeat. Im going to use the salmost to get my cooking to 80(or as high as i can). Could i fish Swordie or lobbies afectivly at level 75? I was also gonna start WC after i get 75Fishing and 80Cooking. If I WC wilows till 75, would i be able to get to 80 in a good time chopping yews(to make money)? Ive got an idea how to make money off crafting when i have about 10mil banked. And since crafting Air Runes arent as Profitable as it was i wont even worry about that now. Does this look like a affective way to amek atleast 10mil?

 

 

 

Edit: When i reach 75 WC and 75 Fishing i would need about 4k Yews to get to 80 WC and about 7.7k Lobsters to get to 80 Fishing. How long woulf it take me(in hours) to get 4k yews(making about 1.4mil) and 7.7k lobbies(making about 2.2mil)?

Oh and i think my PC might have been infected ny a virus/keylogger or whatever because when i scanned my PC his morningi had sevral infected files.... So i think i might have found the source.

I used to have a bankpin but a while ago we had some trouble with our internet connection and i lagged alot and it became such a hasstle so type in the bankpin every 4minutes when the lag stopped, so i took it off and never put it on again, i guess i just forgot.

Sorry to hear your loss. But all I can say is just try and be more careful in future. Run a weekly scan, keep it all updated. And don't download a bunch of junk you don't need. :D (Also if your downloading tons of small files - files sizes that is. You may want to give them a VirusTotal or equivalent scan, it scans on most of the AV's out there.)

I'm sorry for your loss. When I was in your situation, three years ago, I just quit. Spent years earning my rares, and to log in with nothing but the ghostly robes set I'd just written a guide for was depressing.

from the looks of things, your f2p. but to get that much on f2p alone? unless you had a rare or merchant pritty damn good im suss about it. but good luck making the other 45m though. not easy f2p wise especially with your levels and restrictions there etc.

My riches was a drop from above... no really.. got about 120mil in a drop party.... Was actually a 99drop party when my friend reached 99 prayer and i got about half of what was dropped.... but anyway what lvls do you suggest i get up then?

Wow man, great attitude!....When I lost 50 mill staking, I quit, but now I came back and am back at the 50 mill mark from hard work! It actually is kinda fun building from scratch if you know what you're doing. Good luck!

You told you continued playing with lagg and cut your bank pin...

 

I know it's late, but I do think you should have done exactly the opposite.

 

Lagg for a long time (over few minutes) is a sign your bandwith is used for anything else.

 

For me it's time for pin change (at least) and a computer check for spywares and so. Of course regular bank pin and pass changes helps too.

 

Over all this, a good computer organisation (separated disk partitions for OS, softwares and datas) allow you so reddo your setup (format+reinstall from fresh) without loosing any docs and params within a couple of hours. I do this each time things goes wrong.

Hate to spoil the mood, but I can think of three awesome sinkholes for that gp stack you had before. Prayer, RuneCrafting, and Smithing are all good options if you wish to catch up levels fast. ;)

You can try GE merchanting, it's not too hard and with 5M you can probably be not too bad at it.

 

 

 

It's not super fast, but it's easy and you can do other skills while you do it.

As far as quick money making scemes, I'm the worst person to give advice about that. But as far as skilling goes, focus on skill pairs. In RS, most of the skills have a companion (or two) that work well together to keep the "expense" down when training. Don't focus on one skill at a time, but two or three that compliment each other and keep the training cost low by using together (e.g. mining + smithing, fishing + cooking + melee (drops), runecrafting + magic (drops), Mining + crafting + magic (enchanting), etc.)

All I want to know is how a character with your levels and seemingly lack of knowledge about the game (see Help and Advice for other threads) can amass such wealth but I cannot seem to make over 30m.... I know a crap load about this game... I must be doing something wrong.

Don't worry about not being able to make money though, it's not that important. I'm doing fine and I have never had a 20m+ BoB either. :|
