MirageOfDeath
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4WZjk261pyg Messi is getting ridiculous.. that's 8 goals in 3 games including two hat-tricks, 34 goals in 38 games. He might even go down as the greatest of all time, who knows. I mean the guy's only 22, can't imagine what he'll be at his peak. I guess how he does at World Cups will have a huge say in his legacy. I hope with Maradona in charge he doesn't ruin it. UB2
I support West Ham and I have this horrbile idea that last game of the season Tevez is going to score against us and get us relegated.

MonkeyChee
Does Canada have a soccer football league? Yes but its not the most well known league, and the biggest Canadian club (as far as I know) Toronto FC plays in the MLS league in USA.

OldJoe
Chelsea 7-1 Aston Villa :shock:I didn't watch the game, but i understand it was 2-1 after ht? What the hell happend in the second half? Villa shouldn't capitulate like that. 1 point for Everton today, was busy so couldn't watch it. Wolves has had a good run of games recently, so it shouldn't be too surprising, but i'd like to have seen 3 points. But a Europe place is still up for grabs. And i don't know what's up with West Ham. Blackburn should draw or win against Burnley tomorrow and Liverpool - Sunderland will be interesting, let's hope Darren Bent scores a couple. AndyPandy
Wow. What a game. That was incredible. Theo Walcott played brilliant. So don't let anyone tell you you're not worth the earth, These streets are your streets, this turf is your turf, Don't let anyone tell you that you've got to give in, Cos you can make a difference, you can change everything, Just let your dreams be your pilot, your imagination your fuel, Tear up the book and write your own damn rules, Use all that heart, hope and soul that you've got, And the love and the rage that you feel in your gut, And realise that the other world that you're always looking for, Lies right here in front of us, just outside this door, And it's up to you to go out there and paint the canvas, After all, you were put on the earth to do this, So shine your light so bright that all can see, Take pride in being whoever the [bleep] you want to be. MirageOfDeath
Awesome match indeed! Can't wait for the return legs, shame there are so many suspensions though.
Lateralus
It was a fantastic game, though the penalty decision was a shocker. I don't think Walcott ever plays brilliantly. He has pace and that's about it. Here's hoping for a Torres hat trick tonight. La lune ne garde aucune rancune.
Jacks0n
Woo Spurs lost 3-1 to Sunderland (Zenden got a great goal) and City beat Burnley 6-1! Awesome for us :D :D :D We have Birmingham next week, should win that and hold our place in 4th. ~[Blog]~[CrystalMathLabs]~[Last.fm]~

OldJoe
Ok, a bit of an update. If "we" hadn't had all of the injuries this season, i'm certain Everton would be in for EL. Since winter, brilliant form. Since Arteta came back, he's just gotten better and better for every game... Only wonder if he hadn't been injured. I would like to see Jack Rodwell a bit more next season. I'd like Donovan to return when the MLS window opens in next winter, except for a magnificent miss, he really played well. I'd also like a new striker. Fulham in EL final - awesome (as americans say)! Cred Hodgson and his team. Inter - Bayern, CL final : I hope Bayern takes it. They are not my favorite German team, but i have a soft-spot for Germany. I've seen some of their games (Bundesliga/CL), Robben has played so brilliant. And cred to Van Gaal as well (if you remember, he was facing the sack in november and the team was really crappy). And i saw Tottenham - Man City tonight, brilliant game. I know Tottenham spent a load of money last summer too, but no where near what City did. Glad for all Spurs fans, brilliant season for you despite injuries. MirageOfDeath
Everton would have very much been in the race for 4th this season if it wasn't for their injuries imo. Next year will only be harder to get 4th with Man City most probably going to break more records in the transfer market. Hopefully for Spurs they do well in the qualifiers and at least get through to the groups. They'll not be seeded so can face some tough teams to qualify. However, looking at the points table it's still possible for them to come in 3rd so they wouldn't have to worry about not qualifying anyway. As a Liverpool fan I'm just glad this awful season is over... bring on the World Cup.
OldJoe
Liverpool's next season will be interesting. You can be happy atleast that the club is up for sale. I wonder, Liverpool will need a massive overhaul on squad and finances... And Benitez future no one seems to know. Man City will spalsh the cash in the summer, however... Since they are "only" in EL they won't be able to attract every player they want, but i do think they will be immensly dangerous for 4th spot. And what i wonder is, will Liverpool have the finances to get back to the 4th spot? Spurs (since i assume they'll make the qualifiers) will have some cash too, but their budget isn't too rosy either. And if Villa will open the wallet once again... The 4th spot will be quite an open race. I don't think Arsenal will be threatened, they only need a couple of new players and they will be a contender. Fun with Newcastle and West Brom back again. I hope Cardiff grabs 3rd, miss Wales in PL. And, Millwall or Leeds to the Championship. MonkeyChee
Our (Liverpool's) future is very uncertain, in terms of owners, manager and players, I just hope we can sort it all out. Also, I've just heard that Carragher may be set for an international comeback for the World Cup, which surprised me

Also, I've just heard that Carragher may be set for an international comeback for the World Cup, which surprised me  I think Torres and Gerrard will give us another season to try and sort things out. So long as we keep our strong spine (Reina, Agger, Carragher, Mascherano, Gerrard, Torres) I think we'll be alright. 1_man_army
Barcelona have signed David Villa, their team just got even more incredible. I'm really looking forward to watching them next season. MirageOfDeath
Barcelona have signed David Villa, their team just got even more incredible. I'm really looking forward to watching them next season. Amazing really... Ibra reduced to a bench warmer and the strong possibility of Cesc joining them not to mention any other surprise summer transfers for the Spanish top 2. The starting line-ups for El Classico will be a who's who of the world's best. Gotta agree with OldJoe though, Real and Barca finished like 24 points or something ahead of Valencia (3rd place) and next year the rest of La Liga is going to be even weaker. MirageOfDeath
For those interested, been hearing lots of rumors of Liverpool FC being bought by an Abu Dabai consortium and it's going to be announced in the next couple of days.
