Bunyip completely replaces guthans

 

 

 

What bunyip does that guthans can't:? Slayer

 

 

 

Usable on turoth/kurask tasks if your into slayer and sumona

 

Usable at wyverns

 

Usable at dust devils

 

Usable at Mith drags

 

ETC

 

 

 

Usable at GWD! I never eat in 4 man team with bunyip, I last 3 hours+ easy with bunyip pouches

 

 

 

Waterfiends!! Owns there, and also the swallow whole scrolls help there as well if you dont own a sgs

 

 

 

Doesnt slow down your training by having to use spear

 

 

 

Very convinient! Never have to bother changing armors etc

 

 

 

 

 

What guthans does that bunyip cant?

 

 

 

Guthans Tanking at bandos... Is pretty much its only use honsetly

 

 

 

 

 

All in all it completely dominates guthans

Well it's not as great of a healer as Guthans, but the fact that you don't have to be stuck with the Guth spear and helm is a big plus.

 

 

 

So, does Bunyip fully replace Guthans?

 

 

 

No, but in my opinion, since you can wear better gear with a Bunyip it's definitely worth it.

I preferr to use combat familiars for most multi combat tasks, so that fills the bunyip spot, but I use a sgs now, before I would use guthans.

really depends on what monster you are up against...yea for all the slayer tasks monsters are pretty much no kick at all but if you are talking about stuff like sara gwd then i think it is best to take along both guthan and bunyip if not at least guthan cause bunyip won't be able to heal you fast enough during the "breaks" when zilyana is dead...same for dk too although i don't seem to be able to heal much =S

i prefer bunyip it is guaranteed to heal 2 hp every 15 secs while i sometimes get unlucky with guthans and went almost 2 mins once without having its spec activate

 

 

 

while you can use guthans for multy areas and use a combat familiar i think bunyip is best because

 

 

 

1) if u bring guthans as well as combat armour u are wasing inventory space for food pots etc

 

2) bunyip lasts 45mins for me and cost only 2k for almost an hr. compared to guthans 300k to fully repair after 15hrs

 

300k/15=20k for a full hr of using it and then is not a sure thing it will work while bunyip last for 45mins and always heals 2hp per 15 sec

 

3) most of the time combat familiars don't even work in multy areas for me anyway and only att when the monsters are almost dead

 

although they can be a help against bosses

 

 

 

if i where u i would get bunyip but keep guthans for bosses

Blow the whistle to make them attack immediately.

 

 

 

My biggest problem with bunyips is that they are completely useless while your HP is full, compared to guthans which you can use at your discretion.

 

 

 

Also, I wasn't aware that people still payed BOb to repair their armour, you'd save a LOT using your own or a friend's armour stand. That is, unless you have pathetically horrible smithing, but you probably won't after 70 defense.

have my own armour stand and decent enough smith but even with that it still seems more affordable to use bunyip

I would say it depends on the situation, for example i will use bunyip for slayer but i would use guthans when i need to heal more Eg Dks, GWD.
