Burning Monkfish

I looked on Tip.it guide to cooking and it doesn't give a certain level that you stop burning monks with or without gloves. Can someone give me a reasonable level at which you dont burn them, either with or without the gloves.

I believe the page says that the gloves help, but they aren't sure by how much.

I thought they'd stop burning at 96 with gloves. Not sure though, but I do know for sure that the gloves help.

Isn't it only Lobsters, Swordfish and Sharks that work with the gloves?

you never stop burning monkfish. at 99 with apron and hat you will rarely burn them but it is still possible

The gloves slightly affect the rate you burn monks. Though its not quite sure, I wonder if its basically negligible.

Wearing the gloves does not affect the rate at which you burn Monks. The gloves are for Lobbies, Swordies, and Sharks...but best used with Sharks (with gloves, you stop burning at 96...without gloves, you always have the chance at burning sharks).

 

 

 

I have seen on other Help Sites that you stop burning Monks at Level 90. I am not personally at 90 yet to test it (currently 88...closing in fast on level 89!)

Same here. I've cooked thousands of monkfish since and haven't burned a single one.

I've heard reports of people burning them at level 99 cooking. (EXTREMELY rare, I'm talking about 1/10's of thousands)

 

 

 

And I don't think cooking gloves helps, although it might.

The official statement is that the gloves don't help with monkfish. However, many people believe they do help, to varying degrees. Personally, I think it's around 90-92 when you significantly stop burning (yes at 99 it's still possible to burn them)
