eatrunearrow
Simple fix. Rangers and Mages get the % of dammage increase that Melee does. Rangers and Mages like to slay too??
mervinator_9
*looks at author... looks at subject* :o Nothing about pking? bit dissappointed tbh, Anyway ye I agree a slayer item for rangers/mages would be good, maybe not a black mask but something else that would get dropped from a slayer monster, Could then use that item to make a different type of slayer helm, one that gives more bonuses for that skill, Theres a fine line between not listening and not caring,I like to think I walk this line every day. Pinning blame on Jagex is like trying to put pants on an old man. You both know he needs them, but he'll just keep dancing around, avoiding them at all costs. Fools_Taco
Im with you on that one bud. The mask should work for all combat styles on slayer tasks.
Mysticblade
It's a good idea but if this happened then black masks will go soaring and people will camp jungle horrors for black masks. I think that there should be different masks for different combat styles. BabyPunchers
Wow. A decent rant from eatrunearrow. Jaw-->Floor. I do agree that they should get a damage increase. Maybe only 10% though. Thanks to all those who have messaged me concerning a revamp of my Range-Slayer guide. Because of you all I will start rewriting it asap.[/color] Formerly RobinHoodie. BloodArgon
*looks at author... looks at subject* :o Nothing about pking? bit dissappointed tbh, I was about to say that. But, I dont agree. Do Cave Horrors range or mage you? Nope. They melee, thats why they wear their own mask. (they are slaying humans?) So it only makes sense for it to be a melee based weapon. Maybe a type of amulet for slayer? range/mage specific? Or two different ones for each? 99 Crafting :: 39,750th || 99 Attack :: 1,775th
Skinzo04
I do agree with this. I've always wondered why Black masks / Slayer helmets didn't give a bonus to Range/Mage. Inuashakent
Or just make Slayer helmets give range and mage bonus? I don't know, it would make sence... [Summoning guide (AOW)] [Slayer guide] [Melee & Brawl player]
F0TH
Would be great i think. Imagine ranging rex with a 15% bonus to magic for being on a slayer task. Would a whole new dimention to dag tasks =[)
Will H
I think there should be some ranging and maging versions of cave horrors, which will then drop some different masks. Then there can be three versions of the slayer helmet. ~ W ~
Juhnie
I think there should be some ranging and maging versions of cave horrors, which will then drop some different masks. Then there can be three versions of the slayer helmet. That would be awsome. Yes, Rangers and Mages really do need something to boost their Slaying. It's annoying to do a Ranging task without any kinds of Accuracy or Damage bonuses, so slow compared to Melee. Evil Pig20
Melee only because melee cannot safe spot (as easily or as quickly) and mage and range can. Also a cannon with a black mask would be carnage :o

Friendyboy
I'm afraid I disagree with the idea of a bonus for magers and rangers! As was mentioned above, meleers have to take hits no matter what, where as many rangers and magers camp as they usually have an option of hiding. Therefore, the speed of a task is probably similar as most people need to bank through a task. I also agree with the cannon theory! If a ranger had a mask and cannoned on slayer, it would be ridiculous. Also, it is not like you are restricted to range or mage, you do have an option to melee! 16x Black mask1x Dragon Chainbody1x Dragonic Visage32x Dragon BootsObsidian Drops:-13 x Cape/ 6 x Shield/ 6 x Maul/ 750+ Onyx Tips
kudos6969
but you can use a cannon and melee with a black mask now, and please dont forget that melee is very overpowered i do tasks quicker with my melee at 82 attack and str than with my 99 range potted and praying 5% :x range and mage both deserve this bonus because they cost more to do and are alot slower at tasks GWD solo drops: Armadyl Hilt sold at 63.5m - (More to come hopefully)
