zeekyhbomb
Well, I'm pretty screwed. My homecoming is tonight and I still don't thoroughly understand what semi-formal is. I know it's slacks and a button up/down/whatever shirt in general. But that is all. I've never been to homecoming before but I decided I should my senior year, so the only dance I've really been to is prom. Are you supposed to wear a tie or anything? What material/pattern should the shirt be? Any specific type of slacks? Really, I'm a complete idiot on this subject and anything formal, so help would be amazing haha.
deloriagod
Yes, wear a tie. I don't think the material or patterns matter as long as you match your date. Internet Marketing For Newbies
Evaluate
Yes, wear a tie. I agree. The tie should be the same color as your date's dress, but material/pattern doesn't really matter. As for shirt, try to steer clear of anything outrageous like polka-dots and the like. For slacks, I'd just go for plain black. Hard to not match with black. Unless you don't have a date, and from what you wrote it seems like this may be the case. If this is the case, just try and keep everything matching. 7 years 'scape knowledge and counting99 Attack - June 8th 2010 99 Defence - August 2nd 2011 99 HP - December 2nd 2011
jackattack
You should wear a tie and if you want to be a boss wear suspenders. Range_This11
yeah, definitely BLACK dress pants with a nice belt and shoes. Pick a shirt and tie combo that goes well with your date's attire. assassin_696
Will you be wearing a suit/jacket? As for shirts, go for a cotton shirt if you can, colour doesn't matter too much as long as it's not garish or too heavily patterned. Simple blues work well, or whites. Your tie should preferably be darker in overall shade than your shirt, but pick up on some colours in the shirt. Use a Windsor knot if you want to impress and the shirt collar is wide enough. Polished black shoes, a nice belt and black suit trousers with the above combination will all work well. To be honest I have no idea what semi-formal means for American proms, I'm just giving you some general advice on the kind of clothes that seem to have been suggested. Goes to show how much I know about stuff like that, because I always go to events when its formal, or when it's casual. Lol. I have all the 99s, and have been playing since 2001. Woodcut Lvr
Haha does this work? Plus fancy shoes, of course. If no tie, unbutton top. If a tie, leave it buttoned. I think it's fine. I had a piece of grass on my shoe, and she wiped that off. Yeah. Impressive, eh?
