Some hardcore slayer?

Well i decided to save up and buy some guthans, extremely close to it now.

 

Just a few questions, and simple ideas I think I need...

 

 

 

1. Do I keep my dh legs for the added defence, or is it un-needed?

 

2. As soon as I can, should I buy a black mask (I'll need it eventually), or get 60, (then 70) prayer?

 

3. Is guthans worth the no-food?

 

4. I bought a berserker necklace and obsidian sword to train strength, one of the best cheaper methods imo, would this work much on slayer, and does the effect stack with black mask and say.. salve ammy?

1. If you aren't planning on training str, whip+defender is best.

 

2. Use Sumona.

 

3. Get it as soon as you can afford it with about 3m cash left imo.

 

4. Try it once you hit 100 F2P, if its still too hard, go back at 105 F2P.

As for the slayer master id say its more personal preference, try sumona and chaeldar and see which tasks you like better and piety really isnt necessary but it does speed up your tasks so just get it when you can afford it without hurting your bank, also id wait until flat 80s to start duradel.

Oh I still think chaeldar is the better task-giver, I compared the 2 and picked chaeldar, but still went to sumona from numerous friendssaying "you hit 100cb, use sumona now, her tasks are pretty easy"

Use Chaeldar for most of your tasks then every 10 and 50th task do a Duradel task for extra points.

 

 

 

Dh legs, maybe switch to veracs skirt, has more uses.

Well I do have a bad task for guthans (turoths) might do em tomorrow, if I do I'm going back to chaeldar cause sumona gives too many item-baring tasks.

 

 

 

And I've only got 100k left; I plan on farming toadflax and mining p ess for the cash I need.. Slayer wont bring me enough fast enough. (dont tell me to farm rannars kwuarms or snaps).

I wouldn't recommend point farming, just use Sumona. If you really want to train strength, your stuck with a d scimmy\SS; I'm not sure that berserker necklace stacks with slayer helm. Training controlled with whip\defender would be best. I would plan on getting piety as soon as possible - it's handy in many situations, and really helps with slayer if you can master prayer switching. Duradel could be done around 100-110 combat, but from 100+ you should always be using him for 10th, 50th, 100th etc. If you have to get guthans, but using the money on 68 summoning would be a much better investment; you waste a ton of time trying to heal with guthans, with a terrible weapon, controlled XP, and no slayer helm.

There's what, 200k diff between your strength and attack/defence? Just use controlled, if you really slay hardcore str will catch up just through dds specs.

In that case, I suggest using controlled. You'll have 12.8m str xp by the time you get 99 att/def. A dds is way better than excalibur, super defence pots cost close to nothing anyway.

About the question reguarding obby sword with black mask. Yes they stack, and yes it dominates d scim.

 

 

 

Guthans if you want but food is better. All tasks should be doable with food only, and guthans will only slow you down. but its your choice. Im anti-guthans other people are pro-guthans

 

 

 

Black mask is your #1 priority. Dont start slaying without one

 

 

 

Use sumona until you have enough points to block duradels trash then use him

3. Get Guthans and use it even after you have a Bunyip... you should be using a combat familiar.

 

4. It stacks, but don't do it. Just use a whip on controlled. Why would it be boring anyways?

If you sell it I would get 68 summoning and that shouldnt cost 5m from your level, it helps a lot.

It's not illegal, but why post if you already know the answers to all your question. Excalibur is really stupid to use, use a DDS instead.

I'd rather use d mace. It's very high accuracy, you don't have to pray, it has an extremely high max hit, and it has a very high attack speed. A DDS will do more damage than a D mace, which is a fact.

1. The only tasks I've been getting are UN GUTHANABLE, which is why I listed those 2, and if you check sumonas list, she gives unguthanable or magic based melee monsters. = fail

 

 

 

2. I dont care about a dds, I dont like them, and in my experiences, they dont hit high. I usually hit low in comparison to 4 d mace specs. And I know a dds can, and probably will hit higher, but in my experience, it hasnt.

 

 

 

3. I dont care if my "arguements" are flawed. I'm not putting any god damn bother into it cause it doesnt bloody matter. If you read the OP properly, and the other helping things people have posted, you'd notice I only asked for a few things, and I still get told to use a stupid dds to "catch up" on strength whilst training with a whip on controlled.

2 Tasks is a very small sample size... Sumona gives alot of guthanable mosnters. I don't get what you're saying for the 3rd part, last sentence.

3rd was, I never asked if I should dds my str up. It will take way too long with me hitting too many 0s from personal experiences.

 

 

 

Oh, and, out of 12 tasks, I have had, 2 blue dragons, 5 turoths, 2 kalphite, 2 fire giants and 1 harpy task.

 

I range fire giants, and im not wasting guthans on kalphites..
