Well, I'm a hardcore original BK gamer. I heard about this and the addition of vehicles and I thought it was going to be stupid. I downloaded the demo on Xbox Marketplace and let me say. THIS GAME IS AMAZING. It has all the aspects of the original gaming, but with vehicles. You can create your own, which makes it very fun. Anything is possible.

I'd warn anyone with a SDTV to try the demo first. Apparently it's hard to see text on a SDTV (prob like Dead Rising or something) and they aren't going to fix it.

Yeah, the text is hard to read, but it's readable. I barely could read it, just as good as Dead Rising, on my 22" SDTV.

Loved the first 2. (100% on both).

I found the first one very hard, but I suppose that's because I was only 5 or 6 at the time I got it :lol: Never played the 2nd though.

Also, the demo for N&B was surprisingly fun. I was pretty skeptical about the vehicle system, but it works pretty well, really.

I downloaded it off Xbox 360 Live marketplace. When Nuts and Bolts came out, they released BK1 for 1200 points. :geek:

I've been a Hardcore BK fan since 1997 when i first got the original game, i've got both N64 and the GBA version, but giving it to Microsoft?? this game itself is like an icon of nintendo, simular to Mario, and unless you find me a way to play a demo withuot stealing my friends XBOX 360 i dont think i'll play it. which is a bummer, saw the trailer and lol'd. :lol:

Yes, but Rare let Nintendo keep Donkey Kong. But the Rare creators who made it left, hence why after the N64 all Donkey Kong games have sucked.

This is one of those games that make me feel bad about how lazy i'm being towards sending my Xbox in. Oh god I want to play this game so bad.

I got this game last week. I love it so very much. The vehicle creation is absolutely awesome; I've spent at least twice as much time designing vehicles and testing them than actual adventuring. I've got about 50 jiggies now, so that says something about the garage.

 

 

 

You work up a pattern. Specialized vehicles for particular tasks, modding them as you go. I've gone through about 3 different models for my standard airplane, 3 different specialized helicopters, a car that is nothing but engines and fuel (that mother goes incredibly fast), a basic boat, a catamaran, a vehicle for normal riding throughout levels, a superheavy tank (called the superheavy :P ) a car that pushes stuff, and my personal favorite; a tank that detaches the hulk of it and becomes a high-speed boat. :thumbsup: That's not even all of them, I have about 17 different vehicles saved.

 

 

 

Customization and creativity is key. For instance, there was a challenge I did today involving a 7-man race through a very narrow river channel. Using the speeder (the one that has every possible engine and nothing more) I went far faster, but the course wraps around itself, and due to the narrowness of the river channel and the number of racers it gets really hard to even move. So I changed the speeder a bit. Instead of being just the high-performance car, I added a huuuge mass around it like an open box. I was able to disconnect this. By doing so, I blocked off the channel, making it impossible for anyone else to pass me on the second lap, and thereby ensuring victory. Cheap? Sure. In fact, the unofficial name (not official, I didn't save it) was "[bleep] blocker". A different way to approach the problem? Yes, and I was well rewarded for it.

 

 

 

My big gripe is that while for every challenge I always think, "Oh, I have the perfect vehicle for this!", sometimes it forces me to use the game's own, far less efficient vehicle that causes incredible amounts of frustration. In fact, i ahve yet to find a use for any of these "LOG vehicles" outside of their original mission. This mostly happens with escort missions; they give me a taxi when my own "passengercopter" would work 500x as well as that underpowered jalopy.

 

 

 

And that's only the vehicles. Add in the huge worlds, exemplary level design, and hilarious humor, this is perhaps the best adventure game I've ever played. And there was an issue about the text being incredibly tiny; this is true, and you get used to it eventually, but today they fixed it and the text is very visible. Awesomeness.

 

 

 

Also, I'm in the process of building a space marine landspeeder, since my dreadnought didn't go so well.

Umm o.k. in Banjo Kazooie 1, I have 100% everything on all levels for the Xbox 360 arcade version EXCEPT in Rusty Bucket Bay I am missing 5 notes. I have spent like 30 minutes looking for JUST 5 notes. I always tell my friends if they find all the jiggies and honeycomb pieces they will have all the notes, but no. Any BK master here know where 5 notes in RBB might be hidden? :geek:

100% agreed. Far scarier to a younger me than any Necromorph ever could be. Especially since you had to go in the water to get the blue jinjo.

 

 

 

Finished my first jinjo bingo column and have my trolley completely upgraded. I am ready for Spiral Mountain. Oh, and does anyone know what those crates that have some kind of ghost pig on them and say something about sirens do? Or how to get the crate?
