All the NPCs there, and the houses and everything have fancy new bricks, roofs and clothes! The grass and paths look better too! Why would Tutorial Island get a graphic update, when it will be gone as soon as the new one has been majorly updated?! There's three POINT five possibilities: 1) Tutorial Island will be permanent... the new tutorial has some major glitches that they can't fix? 2) Tutorial Island will be here for a long time, the new tutorial is taking longer than expected. So they made Tutorial Island look nicer. 3) Tutorial Island will be used for something else in the future. So they graphically updated it for kinda the reason above, but also because it will still be used for other things later on. 3.5) Kinda the same, but it will probably be used for a quest. Seeing as Explorer Jack got a map and a quest sign on his house about the same time as Tutorial Island got a graphic update! To add on to that, one of the JMods favourite quest suggestions on the quest summery sticky in the old suggestions forums, was that you go back to tutorial island and there's a major change that you have to sort out. COULD IT BE A NEW QUEST? Could it be part of the epic quest? --- Most weird changes: -The Mining/Smithing guide has a Strung Rabbit Foot amulet. Why would a MINER have that, when the rabbit foot amulet gives more luck in WOODCUTTING? -The survival expert has a Legends cape, as well as being changed colour from light red, to light blue... Hmm... she's a quester too? -The houses look exactly the same as houses in Lumbridge... -The quest guide has some interesting clothing, with weird metal strips in them -Mining instructor used to have a Rune Pick axe, he now has a steel one -You can no longer climb ladders in the bank. You get the message "Nothing Interesting Happens." -Financial instructor has black and yellow shoes... like pirate boots. -Doors to stairs in the Church No Longer open! -Mage has been given pwning robes (Like Yanille Mages) and a weird staff that curves everywhere -50% of the stairs and ladders are now either Unaccessible or when you try to climb them, it says "Nothing Interesting happens." This did not happen before. -The rock formations are different when you mine. -The mining instructers bandana is grey instead of purple. -The survival guide also has what looks like an Onyx Necklace -There are old rocks with no ore in them outside the cooks house. I remember a thread on the RSOF from a long, long time ago requesting a quest where Elvarg's mother (or child, or in-law or some kind of relative) was attacking tutorial island. 'glass half full', we would like to dream about being able to go back to our starting ground as far more powerful and capable people in order to stop some catastrophie. It would be suiting that the most epic quest in the game be in teh same place most all of us started from (excepting those form teh lumbridge tutorial and those from before tut island). Do you not understand? Why would they update tutorial island if it's supposed to be gone? Why spend the time to make all those graphical changes when the new tutorial is supposed to replace it? Why is there a new quest symbol on the map in explorer jack's house which was added when tutorial island was created? Its a discussion. I'm pretty sure in Dragon Slayer Ned tells you that he escaped crandor when elvarg came and destroyed it. I am almost positive. And I really think people are digging to deep. I don't wanna be thought of as a "half empty glass" kind of person but couldn't it just be that the they had been working on this and decided to release it as just a graphics update? It would probably be the best place to give a graphics update after all considering it is the first place new players come. Helps keep me entertained while I mine thousands of pieces of gold ore. If the CORPORAL beast is this hard, imagine how hard a GENERAL or COLONEL beast would be. a corporal is not even an admirable rank in armies that use that ranking system. Yeah, it is a pking minigame, so any arguments anybody makes will probably be biased.The best way this will end :Everybody just says,"I'm not arguing with you anymore, goodbye."The worst way this will end: I don't really know, psychological warfare? Plus it's in man's nature to ask why, we want to know and explain everything :) Guess he isn't human :lol: I agree that it's strange to update the island after it has been made obsolete, so we have to ask ourselves this: Why update it? Because people can see it. But if new accounts don't start anymore on the island, then how can we get to it again? And why? There has to be a reason, and there we have it: a Quest. One other possibility is that people can visit Tutorial Island to see how it was in the past or something, like an old ruin/village. But then why update? I would've left it in the old state so people can laugh at the low level of detail. :) Due to my epic stats, I have now started WGS (but I still hate spoilers).
